Acappella Italian Restaurant

Was a unexpected gem after a day of hiking in Rock State Park. Ate outside on the patio and the food amazing. Calamari was nicely fried, good mixture of O and whole. The bread hot from oven and crusty and chewy. Superb dipping oil. And the pizza. So happy with our choices. Beer for him, wine for me and the bill $50. Couldn't believe for quality and quantity. Lovely spot. Will go back when in the area.

I ordered Chicken Marsala from there for Lunch. The dish was a bit pricey, marked at $20 but I hoped it would be a decent portion. I pick it up and am shocked by the small portion given. The chicken wasnt good looking at all and had No flavor. The Marsala sauce was watery and disgusting. Even the sliced Bella mushrooms had no flavor. The only thing with flavor was the side of pasta with Marinara sauce, but it was in the same container as the Marsala. Needless to say I called, complained, and requested my money back. Still waiting for the reimbursement!! Updating after 1 week has past.... I was told that I would be reimbursed the money the day I complained by one person, waited the weekend to see it. Monday I went back in and spoke to the Bartender and showed her this exact picture. She agreed it didn't look normal and took my info down. I called a little but ago and spoke with the manager because I still didnt see a refund. He told me he stands by his food and refused to refund my meal. He was very rude and didnt want to hear criticism over the dish, then hung up on me. Great attitude.....Not!!

My friend and I went to visit the ladew gardens and decided to stop here for lunch while in the area. They were short staffed but the friendly young girl working the register got us seated right away and apologized for there not being a hostess to great us. The issue came down to when we placed our order. The waitress apologized because it took several minutes for someone to take our order. No problem we are in no rush. Once we placed our actual food order my friend asked how long it would take before the food came out to which her response was "however long it's going to take to cook". This was the chunky waitress. There were only two that day and the little one was super sweet. We wished we had her. Also, this is the same waitress that came out and yelled who was here first. There were three tables that were seated before us. We seen them walk in while in the parking lot. They were still waiting when we were seated. She was unaware what table to tend to first, they took forever to tale our drink orders hell the kitchen can be short staffed as well. His question was valid and he wasn't trying to be rude or smart. My friend was super uncomfortable and didn't even want to drink his drink paranoid that she spit in it. We were the only African Americans in the place at the time and just decided to not leave a tip and never return because God forbid we stand up for ourselves we will be made to look like we're the problem.

Just ordered a philly cheese steak sandwich and a Italian cold cut sandwich. The Italian cold cut did not have any cheese on it and the meats were very thick making them tough to chew. The Philly cheese sandwich tasted like day old meat. The French fries on both sandwiches were soggy probably due to the way they are packaged. The steam from them in the plastic container ruins them. I haven't been there in a while and now I know why I stopped going. Go to the Savory deli if you want a sandwich.
