Riverside Tavern

We finally got around to checking this place out & we really enjoyed our meal. Just a couple of things that caused me to take off 1 star. I ordered a club sandwich which was pretty good but the bread wasn't cut in 1/4th's or toasted which I though was odd for a club sandwich. My husband ordered the chicken fried steak which came with turkey gravy. As my husband was finishing up, the waitress came over and said "a tip for next time, ask for the sausage gravy, that's how I usually eat it and I think it's much better." Both my husband and I thought that was weird because chicken fried steak is traditionally or normally served with sausage gravy & it shouldn't be something you have to ask for. It was still good but he would've definitely preferred to have had the sausage gravy. Besides the odd food things, the servers were wonderfully nice & friendly & that's always a plus. The drive from our house is not too bad & it's a pretty drive to boot so I'm sure we'll be back.
