We stopped by for the first time since the new ownership and we are blown away by the upgrade, atmosphere, service and the food. The bonus: it is very kid friendly. The kids meal came in an airplane, whip cream grapes for dessert, cherries in cherry coke, a heart shaped dish for the mac and cheese, and the milkshakes/sundaes!! The bright colors, creativity and artwork will blow you away!! The old back room is fun, colorful and would be great for large gatherings!! We will be back!!

Not only was the ice cream delicious but the price was good as well. I got the three scoop sundae and it was $10.99 and each scoop was measured and weighed at a pound a piece plus your toppings. They also have are beautiful retro diner with amazing color schemes going throughout the experience. Definitely worth the stop.

Had a excellent chicken wrap but the desserts are where it's at! Enjoyed watching them make their huge,outlandish ice cream creations. Loved the decor as well.

One of the interesting places in West Virginia. The inside looks funky, colorful, and retro the like the 50s dining. Ample parking, and decent price, and good food.
Food comes in big portion and enough for 2 people. They serve almost everything: breakfast, lunch, ice cream, milkshakes, cheesecake, wraps, home cooked dinner, and kids meal.
It's family friendly and has additional dining room in the back.
They have the He-man breakfast which acknowledge by the Food Magazine. They have competition of who can finish the He-Man breakfast in 45 minutes in one sitting.
You need to visit this place when happen to be in West Virginia 😊

Last night was my first time every going to the Poky Dot. I wasn’t sure what my experience was going to be like when I walked in and seen the entire dining room was packed. I just have to say that these were some of the NICEST ladies in the world! The manager was super nice as well! We will definitely be back! We got the Blt and the bbq sandwiches and the unicorn milkshake and they were absolutely delicious!

Made a reservation and it somehow didn’t make it on the books. However the owner was amazing and gave us options. Ended up opening the patio for our party, even going to get a new propane tank for the heated table. Our waitress was beyond accommodating and friendly. Our service was above and beyond. Have not had service at a restaurant like we were given tonight in a long time. Highly recommend!
