Have used Danny's in Robertsdale for many years. Always, get enough to feed a family of three and call in the order. No matter what time of day or evening we pick it up it is alway hot and fresh. Thank you Danny's Fried Chicked from a satisfied customer.
Danny's sets the standard for good fried chicken in Fairhope (other than Momma's house!). Their chicken is consistently fried to perfection.

Delicious, Delecatable, Divine!. Fried chicken isn't high on the list of delicacies that my parents incorporate into their diet. My parents strive to encourage the ideas of "micro nutrients" and "fruits and veggies" into our diet. But after passing the sign for Danny's to and back everytime we depart for the beach in Mobile, Alabama, my parents finally bent over backwards to find the chain for my sister and I.
Danny's, in Alabama at least, is nestled on a main bypass on the outskirts of Fairhope. A white 2 story building, fairly quiet. The joint inside, at a glance, isn't Ruth Chris Steakhouse. The employees behind the counter are hustling with orders and the smell of chicken wafts throughout the entire building. Us, a family of 4, decided on a mixed meat family dinner of 10 chicken pieces, 6 biscuits, and 2 sides (1 pint of mash potatoes and gravy, 1 pint of beans). Total price around $23.00
The chicken is tender, well cooked, and white as chalk on the inside. The fried outer skin is enough of a layer to add taste, but doesn't overpower the protein portion. The oils aren't overbearing either - I was able to wash my hands under a minute after having 3 different pieces.
The biscuits have some zing, making them different than ones from KFC or Bojangles. They're delectable with the mash potatoes. The beans tasted different, with undertones of onion and other unidentifiable spices.
All in all, Danny's is a tasty buy at an affordable price (even for a hungry family of four). It fills you up, without feeling "gross", bloated, or encountering a sea-sickness like feeling. I know if I ever need a fried treat, Danny's would be a top suggestion.
Great Food - Suggest to Go. Danny's has been around as long as I can remember, which says something in itself.
As far as the food goes, it has always been, in my experience, the best fried chicken available that momma doesn't make. The staff has always been very respectful and nice, although getting anyone to answer the phone with the same attitude is a rare occurrence.
It is a little pricey, and the buffet is not really worth it, but if you are looking for some great fried chicken to grab on the way home, then Danny's is well worth the trip.
Less ambience than a school cafeteria but good old fashioned, always fresh and crispy friend chicken. A southern standard executed perfectly. And there' always takeout.
I love Danny's! Their food is consistently good. I typically order Gizzards and/or livers here. One of the few places I can get them where they are always hot and tasty!
Their chicken is also very good. This location offers a lunch buffet which I enjoy when I'm able to visit for lunch. If you're looking for a good southern meal, this is the place!

My first visit to Danny’s buffet lunch - lucky me it was Tuesday. The made-from-scratch chicken and dumplings was hmm hmm delicious with a fluffy biscuit. The fried chicken, chicken livers, okra, turnip greens & other sides were all wonderful. I thought I was done but my friend pointed out the homemade fruit cobblers and banana pudding off to the side that I had missed. For a total of $9.87, it’s a sweet deal. Christina at the counter was super nice and customized my hubby’s snack pack to include two biscuits & gravy. He also gives it 👍🏼👍🏼
So happy this place is still around. After all these years, it's still as yummy as it ever was. 😍👍

It was excellent!! The chicken was moist and the sides (mash potatoes and gravy, baked beans) were extremely good. ONLY one regret - found the place two days before heading home.

Danny's is from what I've heard, a local favorite. The chicken was good and the coleslaw was great. Order at the counter and they'll bring it to your table. It's clean and the service friendly. I've had better chicken but again the slaw was some of the best I've ever had. Good place in a hurry otherwise I'd probably go somewhere else.
Fried chicken was absolutely delicious. Slaw and lemon cake also excellent. We had a wonderful buffet meal for $9.00 with drinks included. We can't say one thing bad about the buffet, it was so delicious, ate far too much. Buffet ends at 2pm, I think, but call ahead if you are running late. We have been there twice now and will go again today. They have salad bar along side of all the hot dishes and there are many southern dishes we tried for the first time. Wonderful food, served on paper and plastic, with plastic forks but you won't care. A very casual place to eat with excellent food. Try it, you won't be disappointed.
