Belanger's Drive-in

I got the pint of fried whole clams for $20 and they were extremely disappointing. They looked huge but were sadly 70% breading (like a thick doughy cornbread-type batter) and 30% clam that was so overcooked the bellies were shriveled up, dried out, and meat was hard and rubbery. Zero flavor, zero moisture. Returned them and was refunded money. Won’t be returning.

We LOVE the food there- really - esp the amazing Tourtiere pie! And their sweet potato fries are the BEST!!!! So why then 3 stars instead of 5. While I saw 95% of their patrons wearing masks as they approached the open window- therefore protecting those inside- not one of the staff who was at the window had a mask- and certainly no one inside did. As a healthcare worker I found this very disappointing.

Blechanger's. I really can't stand businesses who shamelessly sell sub-par fried food at a two $$ price point. How sad, why was this so expensive? Everything ordered tasted like the fried styrofoam batter (no really, the fish was *indistinguishable* from the clams my friend ordered). I literally couldn't taste anything (because of the food, not COVID!), so maybe I'm lucky I didn't get the portion of fish I might expect at any other seafood place. Almost made me laugh out loud if I didn't spend so much money on the food. And it wasn't even hot. :(
