Gold Star

Everything was perfect. I went with my friend. He had the coneys and I had the coneys with Chili and french fries, shake. I'm not from Cincinnati and don't really like the chili here..(too sweet and kind of greasy) I like the Tex-Mex Chili. Gold star used to have it and it was amazing. But they don't have it anymore and wish they would bring it back. The reason I am giving four stars instead of five is that is was 24 degrees outside and it was freezing 🥶 in there. It felt like A/C was coming from the vents. We shivered the whole time we were in there. Why didn't they have the heat on? Also their shakes are wonderful but wow...almost $5.00? Even with inflation that is very pricey. The meal for two of us was $36.00. Way too much so can't afford to come here a lot unfortunately. Service was terrific and very fast. We weren't halfway done with the meal and they had already brought out our check. We felt rushed. Other than that everything great. But please turn your heat on!

I've been hearing alot about Gold Stars burgers so thought I'd give it a try today for lunch and I'm dead serious that the burger I had was one of the best burgers I've had. I got the classic cheeseburger with cheddar, pickle, tomato and lettuce with the heavenly sauce. The heavenly sauce is unbelievable. I liked it so much I took my wife back later for dinner. 😂. Service was excellent both times I was in there today. I will be going back very soon. Im blown away at how good it was.

When it comes to Cinti chili, I prefer Skyline but I appreciate the decent job they are doing w burgers...there is a strange bit of SPICINESS with the burger- I do not normally mind spicy food but this a bit unusual - will try the sauce on the side next time to see if that is it. I thought the chicken sandwich was a disaster- hopefully they will improve when they bring it back off hiatus. If you have not yet tried the burger, check it out - suggest you add a 2nd pattie. They will not drive 5 guys out of business, but they produce a pretty decent burger

Went to redeem the B1G1 3-way offer because the Bengals won on Sunday. Our waitress was the most pleasant and sweetest person, and we were happy to have her visit our table frequently. We also got a takeout order for family members and it was boxed and ready to go by the time we finished. The food was hot and delicious and plenty of cheese and chili, yum-yum!

This location appears newly renovated and it's nice and clean. when i was a kid, all you could get was 3-ways and coneys, but the new menu includes hamburgers and double decker sandwiches. The chili burger is a bit messy, but it's a nice way to get both parts of the menu. Glad to have this place in the neighborhood.
