Wow I can’t believe I have been passing this all these years. I make a lot of trips to Houston and this will be a must stop for me along the way. The buffet is huge and it is down home cooking. There is something for everyone from young to old. The bread that they bring out is delicious and a great start. They have a great menu, but I just couldn’t pass up the buffet. The salad bar is fresh and probably a hundred thing to choose from. Gotta check this one out! They also have a great gift shop just as you walk in.

My first impression was that I could not get over how big it was inside! Large buffet all you can eat for a reasonable price or order of the menu. Ordered off the smaller portion menu, was still too much! They know how to feed you! All was fresh and delicious. My only complaint was the box mashed potatoes. Highly recommend! Will stop by again.

We arrived for lunch on a Thursday. It was not very crowded so we were seated quickly. They have a great looking buffet at an excellent price especially with the amount and quality of the BBQ items offered. My appetite was not up for a buffet, so I had the "small" size chicken fried steak and my friend had the patty melt with onion rings. Both dishes were absolutely delicious and a great value for the price. I finished off my meal with a slice of apple crum pie. And even though it was not as warm as I like, it still tasted fresh and delicious. And the bread offered as we waited for our food was as fresh as any I have had before. This is absolutely yhe best place if you and your crew are hungry travelling between Dallas and Houston.

Food made me feel like i was at Big Momma house on a Sunday. There are NO complaints here! They also have 18 wheeler / semi / tractor trailer parking. Made it real easy for us out on the road all the time.

This place is wonderful the buffet has a extra fresh salad bar with a variety of items and great homemade bleu cheese dressing. The food bar itself today had shrimp , catfish , slices of barbecued beef the most tender chicken fried steak you could ask for homemade cream gravy, homemade pinto beans, homemade turnip greens, homemade mashed potatoes as well as numerous other things and some of the best homemade pie that actually goes with the all-you-can-eat. They also serve you a large loaf of homemade bread large enough to feed four people, delicious. Our waiter German was very efficient very friendly. Kept our glasses full. Constantly asking if we needed anything else wonderful service..

There were very few parts of this meal that were good. 1) the iced tea was perfect. 2) the bread was very good. That's it. Imo, the prices were very high for the selections. The freshness of the meat was questionable. That was pressed deli meat. Low quality deli meat. The entire plate was drowning in Bar-B-Q sauce. I had no idea they would sauce turkey so I never thought to ask for it on the side or not at all. It was inedible. Husband had the chicken fried steak. It was completely soggy. The mashed potatoes were instant and very, very thin with no seasoning. The green beans were just out of the can, no seasoning. The peach cobbler was so undercooked it was gooey. With few peaches, the filling was completely clear with no color or flavor. Just overly sweet. Service was slow and refills for drinks was non-existent. We will never return.

Always plenty of good home style food. Very friendly and appropriately attentive staff. Nice gift shop with some unique items as well.
