The menu is large with many options and sides to choose from. They made it to order and brought it to my table fresh and hot

Food was sooooooo good. I tried the jalapeño poppers for the first time and i can guarantee ill be ordering those everytime as well as a order to go home with me... yummmy!! Very polite workers. This is one of our favorite places. We really enjoy the peaceful nice atmosphere.
Labor Day evening, my Mother was wanting their giant fish sandwich. She remembered how tasty it was and had not had it for a while. She was not disappointed! And my country style catfish platter was delicious! Can’t leave out the sides which I had broccoli & fried okra……yum! My Mother wasn’t crazy about the green beans. She’s a country girl and likes her green beans “doctored” up. I’ll take them either way! I found them to be different but very good. I had to complement the two pleasant young girls working for the cleanliness of the restaurant. Though, it is an older establishment, it was clean & orderly. Our mission was accomplished! ☺️
This Fairfield location of Captain D's is impressive. The two fish I ordered were fresh and hot, and not like another location, you allowed to dine in. Didn't disappoint me at all.
We call this place Belly Busters jokingly. Food tastes really, really good with the fish being the standout star of the show. But, after a meal, I feel like I've eaten an epic amount of food when I haven't really. The hush puppies are nice but are super dense.
Fries are good and the Mac and Cheese was pretty good too. They have plenty of malt vinegar, ketchup, cocktail and tartar sauce available in the dining room for those that need.
The dining room needs some love. It's a bit tired and in need of a makeover. The nautical theme works, but the seats and tables need a refurb along with the ceiling.

Delicious food. They messed up part of our order but fixed it promptly. Seems like all of these types of restaurants have a dingy, dirty look and feel about them, but I will return next time I'm in the area.
The food I ordered was fresh and good, but the customer service I received from Braxton.... Yikes! That was a 2.5 in my opinion bc she appeared friendly... Here is my issue- If I place my cc in your hand, it only makes sense (to me) that you use the same courtesy and place my card back in my hand- especially when I'm extending my hand to receive it back that way. Then, I watched as another customer- older male handed her cash for his order and his change was placed back in his hand. Don't lay customers cards on the counter please.
I ordered the cornmeal whitefish with two sides broccoli and fried okra and I will be having this again. For some reason it's not on the menu outside, but it is on the inside menu.
I enjoy coming here for my family’s dinner. We get it Togo and the food is always good when getting home.

The food is always tasty, but the people working are very lazy and have no sense of urgency. They are definitely not a "fast food" restaurant. Expe t to wait for 30-40 minutes to get any food here. Don't worry about the line, half the people are not patient enough and leave before they get to the window.
