We dropped in for a quick lunch. We are not super knowledgeable about Indian cuisine. The shop had a section of Sweets, an area to order "plates" and a small seating area. The plates section was like hot buffet bar. We wanted tandoori chicken but ended up with chickpeas and lentils over rice with a small tapioca-like dessert. The food was very tasty. Midway thru the meal a cook came over and, sensing our lack of familiarity, told us what we should have ordered and gave it to us. The place was very busy. There were numerous catering orders being picked up. I have no doubt this was not an Indian Michellin 5 star. But the food was good and plentiful, the staff was friendly. And the place was clean. We both left feeling stuffed for about $20.I would be happy to go back.

Over all the hygiene of this place isn’t good. Sticky tables. Few people coming in and out of kitchen and not wearing masks. Aloo paratha with makhan are really really good. So is bhel puri chaat. Samosas is average.

Update - prices have increased but service and quality are still great. Great food, great service (fast and efficient), good prices, and tons of Diwali sweets! Goat biryani is great (sometimes it's bony, meh), fish curry is also great. Everything else is good so you'll need to find your preferred dishes. Enjoy!

Centrally located right off Lee hwy in a complex which is anchored by Chuy's and right next to a Walmart is Bombay cafe which has fresh foods and sweets. This is the place to go for working professionals who want indian food in an fast food environment,or for the westerners who want to try indian food Which is not spicy, and had all western people favorite like butter chicken, paneer, samosas.Their chats are good and so are there sweets.

The only reason I’m giving them one start is because of the service and attitude towards customers. If you ask for extra chat masala or chatni they 1st don’t even want to give you like it a diamond., if you ask to pay for it the want to charge $1 each. Ridiculous way of doing food business.

Dahi vada was too sweet, I expected a bit spicy though. Heard a lot of their samosa...but didn't find anything special in it. Some of the sweets are really good specially laddoos.

No flavor, bad quality. Really bad food. They should take Bombay out of their name, it's an insult to Bombay food.

I reviewed this place years back when the AC wasn't working and it was not pleasant eating hot food on a hot day on a hot restaurant. Bombay foods has cleaned up and kept the customer in mind. It's nice inside and I'm looking to enjoy the hot food on a hot day inside a cooled dining. The food has always been on point. There's definitely good blessings in the food.
