My husband and I held our Wedding Ceremony and dinner party here on Christmas Eve 2016!
Nothing but EXCELLENT things to say about the space, the food and most importantly the management of our event. The new owner, Bill, is an excellent chef and a seasoned professional. From the very start he was communicative over details and flexible to our needs. As we live in Hong Kong, most of our communication was over email and just a few site visits by my parents. We planned the event with just 1.5 months notice.
We had 35 guests. Bill organized a welcoming cocktail hour with horderves, ceremony seating, a champaign toast with more horderves, and a 3 course dinner paired with wine. We brought in minimal decoration for tables and our own music. The historic house is cozy with dark wood, a wine bar and numerous fireplaces. Our guests raved over the food and the friendliness from the waitstaff. The space was transformed flawlessly to move from one event to the next. It was simple but truly elegant! We couldn't have asked for a better wedding day.
I highly recommend Choices by Shawn for a small wedding or any other event.
I picked this restaurant at random while traveling because it is a local place, not a chain. What a delightful find! The tomato and feta crostini is the best bruschetta I've had outside of Italy. The breakfast platter was plentiful and delicious. The waitress recommended the pancakes, which were thick and fluffy, not sweet or gummy--the perfect pancake. I can't recommend their Sunday brunch enough.
We came for restaurant week and left thoroughly satisfied with the quality as well as the value for the price! I had the lobster bisque for appetizer which had the right amount of creaminess and flavor. For the main course I had the lobster ravioli which was absolutely bursting with flavor. Finally had to end it with the chocolate cake which was super light and the chocolate ganache on top was just the right amount of smooth texture with the cake.
Been to Founding Farmers, Sweetwater, Mike's, etc. This place is just excellent and highly recommend it.
To start off, the service at this place was very good and professional. The quesadias were just out of this world good. This place will be my go-to place for brunch. I haven't tried lunch or dinner so I can't speak for that. Overall, the food were all very good but my quesadias were exceptional.
This is a charming place to eat a meal; my wife and I have been there and have enjoyed a wonderful dinner. We have had dinner there with our children as well and they have take sincere efforts to accommodate my son's Celiac Disease to offer us gluten free entrees and desserts. I recommend Hamrock's without reservation as it is a lovely establishment with charming character to enjoy a meal. The large old home makes you feel warm and welcomed and has a delightful ambience.
Great place for lunch or dinner. All the staff a nice and polite. Didn't have to wait a long time for my meal. The Mango Mojito is definitely something you should try.
This is a quant place! The food was all delicious! We spent $50 on sodas, two entrees and one dessert. The Curry chicken salad was really good. The service was friendly but a little inattentive. I recommend Hamrocks for the food!
