Shanghai Thai To Go

The usual cook must be on vacation because everything we got tonight was super weird and not up to normal quality. The fried rice was burned. The pad thai had only 2 shrimp in the whole thing. And the egg rolls and dumplings seemed baked not fried, and were weirdly chewy. Everything was edible, but not delicious. I had buyer's remorse.

Saran is awesome! Tiny little place, every time ive come just him running the whole show and he pulls it off amazing. Huge portions on my favorite - yellow curry - compared to other Thai in fairbanks, and very low prices! My reccomendation is to call your order in advance, or be ready for some delay if you order in person. Just a one man operation and it can take some time to get your order.

UPDATE JUNE 2020: Business is picking up and he's starting to use an assistant. I highly recommend using his phone number to call your order in before you go. He'll tell you how long your order will take and here's the code: 10 minutes = you're the only order, 15 minutes = he has 1 order ahead of you, 20 minutes = he has 2 or more orders ahead of you. I appreciate this gentleman's business model. He's a one man show that has less overhead than the Thai restaurants in town so his prices are lower than anyone else's.
