Red Couch

As many others have said, the food and service here is awesome. My friends and I went to The Red Couch for the first time today, and were very impressed. It's a small place, set up in an order at the counter and seat yourself layout. However, even though it wasn't a table waiting place, the service was awesome. The lady behind the counter (I spaced her name) was very friendly, explaining the menu and all the choices for us. When we ordered, it wasn't long at all until they got our food ready and out, probably due to how nice (and clean!) of a kitchen they had. The food choices encompass some hot sandwiches, cold sandwiches, salads, and other sides, for those wondering. It's priced fair, and tasted great! I'd certainly recommend it to anyone looking for a great lunch! Given how good the place is, I'm actually very surprised that not a lot of people know about it.

We came in at 7am and ordered oatmeal and fruit. WOW IT WAS THE BEST IVE EVER ORDERED. Coffee was delicious. The owner was soo friendly we even got some history about Fairbanks. Everything is homemade too. Wish I had a place like this where I live. Go there and find out for yourself, and while you are there check out the bathrooms, you won’t be disappointed.

The red couch was great until the day I got ]a moldy burrito from them. After i ate 1/2 of the breakfast burrito, I noticed the mold, u can imagine how disgusted I was. When I brought it back they were apologetic, and emmmeidiatly blamed it on not letting it cool all the way, almost like it happens quite a bit. My new burrito was not moldy, but my appetite was to say the least a little hesitant.

I was impressed. I'd never heard of the place and then my friend and I went searching for a place in Fairbanks that could do this special Alice in Wonderland style Topsy Turvy Cake for her Wedding. Everyone else in town already said they couldn't do it. And it was absolutely a beautiful cake- exactly what we had in mind! Besides that the service was great, and they even had a tiny little section for my toddler to play in while we were discussing the cake. Couldn't be more pleased. I will definitely use them again.
