Awesome food and service . the people very friendly recommend the island cafe for breakfeast lunch or and dinner
Very good food, love the fried shrimp � fries and cole slaw, shrimp are so good..nice fresh Hamburg patty for our dog, and very good waitress ..clean place..friendly..
There were a few restaurants opened the day that we went and we were happy with our choice. It was a small dinner but we were seated right away and the service was great. The food came out fresh and they didn’t take long. We ordered the fried pickles and a pizza which you can pick your own toppings.
Nice quaint place with truly delicious food. We had the mac and cheese squares with chicken bacon ranch wrap and fries, we were blown away with their deliciousness! Best meal of our trip so far. The staff was very friendly and while there wasn’t a large selection at the gift shop they things they had were cute and personal. I got a shot glass to take home! The decor was fun and silly and the bathrooms were nice and clean.
My wife’s father owns a pizza restaurant so I’m a pretty good critic. And they have some surprisingly good pizza here.
Atmosphere is exactly what you would hope to find and the staff was attentive.
They also offer a deal where they’ll cook what you catch! Excited to come back.
Oh, they also offer some boxed lunch to take on an adventure in the surrounding wilderness. Looking forward to checking that out next time.
The food came out hot and fresh. The service was also excellent. I had the gator basket and was served a nice portion. We also got an appetizer of calamari that tasted fresh and well seasoned. Would stop here again if I’m the area.
Friendly staff, delicious Fish Tacos, comes with fries. The chipotle sauce that comes with it was too spicy hot for me (pepper allergy) but I was able to get some ranch to use as sauce for the tacos.
Great food, great prices, polite staff, and although we didn't eat in - it looked to be a good atmosphere. What more could you ask for?

Our waiter was Case. Top notch guy. We went for lunch and had a really good chef salad. The wife had the chicken bowl and only ate half. The other half came home for another delicious meal. Highly recommend place. Just ask for Case!
Delicious food, great service, nice value, and a cool ambiance. As we drove by late afternoon, there were several cases parked out front. We stopped partly because of that. We had the blackened fish basket and the grilled shrimp basket. The blackened fish was awesome and the grilled shrimp was too. The fries were very tasty and crispy. For desert we had the fried key lime pie. Key lime pie filling rolled up in a flour tortilla and fried. It is topped with chocolate topping and whipped cream. It was plenty for two people and exceeded expectations. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. She gave great advice on the items on the menu. The restaurant is a microcosm of the small community and it has loads of charm. This was a "glad we went there" place!
Was out looking at the glades and stopped for a quick dinner, place is a very authentic small town diner, not overly touristy, with really good fish tacos. Others had gator bites and frog legs for appetizers, and then ordered crab cakes or pasta, their mistake, it was fine and the salad and hush puppy very good, but they should have had something with fish because the tacos were cut from fresh caught instead of frozen breaded fish sticks. We had a delicious experience at Island Cafe. The mushroom appetizer was juicy and flavorful . For entrees we had each had tacos, one was shrimp, the other BBQ pork. Very nice presentation and they were tasty and fresh. Our server was great and the staff were all pleasant. Restaurant was clean. We were very happy we stopped and gave it a try.
