Stopped by and picked up the three meat sampler. The meats were chicken, pulled pork and ribs. The ribs and pork were fabulous! The chicken was fall off the bone-dry. :( The skin was actually crispy, too crispy to eat.
How does a BBQ chicken get a crispy skin and how does that chicken then look presentable enough to the staff to decide it's Memphis quality?
Thankfully, they supplied three containers of sauces; all were used on the chicken.
The other two meat choices dis not require sauce. I only use sauces if the meat is bad.....
The two sides were mac and cheese and baked beans. The mac and cheese was perfectly cooked, the beans had a nice heat added.
The corn bread that came with the meal could use some work, it was dry. If it had been served with a spread like butter or honey or even a honey butter it might have helped.
*UPDATE 5/31/2018*
All good things come to an end and so did this place. It's permanently closed.

We tried the BBQ rib tips and pulled pork, it was awesome!!!! They let us taste their chicken. Fantastic, normally BBQ chicken is fleshy... this was not, it was perfect! Yummy Beans, cornbread and potato salad. Will defiantly be returning. Staff was really friendly and eager to share their product. Rib tips were dry rub and well seasoned.

The food was mediocre.. the baked beans didn't seem cooked all the way through, but they had good flavor. The chicken skin was tough, but it tasted good. They forgot two of my sides that came with my order. But the Banana pudding with wafers was absolutely delicious.

Awesome staff, delicious food, nice little outdoors area to sit. The sweet tea was delicious. If you're thinking about getting BBQ this is the spot to go. It only took abut 5 to 7 minutes from the time I ordered until I got the food, which is really quick for BBQ.

My boyfriend and I just tried this place tonight for the first time and was amazing. We tried the pulled pork platter with Mac and cheese and coleslaw. The pork was tender and juicy and the sauce was one of the best i have had and sides were equally delicious. I never write reviews but since we moved here from Florida last year it's was a great surprise to find a real southern bbq joint on this coast!! Two thumbs up guys!!

Staff is super friendly and helpful for the party we had planned. I contacted them day before for a 40 person sized party. Since I had not tried them before the staff walked me through what I needed to order. The food was amazing and did not disappoint. Recommend this place over any chain BBQ place.

Meat is good. I would go back only for the meat but would never get sides again. Baked beans weren't cooked, they were still crunchy. The coleslaw tasted alright but didn't seem like it sat long enough to soak in the dressing and tasted more like mayo and sugar than anything. The corn bread was the absolute worst! I'd rather buy a box of Jiffy. It tasted only of Crisco and flour. But, again, I did like the meat. I've had better when I was living in Florida but it was still good.

I had this at the Edmonds Arts fair and I will definitely be frequenting thier Everett location. The beef brisket was exceptional. Try to Little pulled pork it was also very tender and not overly salted. Very friendly staff an exceptional barbecue. The best I've had in an extremely long time. Very hard to find this type of good quality barbecue in the northwest.

The beef brisket was incredible! Best I've ever had. Also, the habanero BBQ sauce is just the right amount of heat. The owner was extremely friendly and even let us sample a few different meats before we ordered. I'll definitely be back.

Great barbecue... if you've never had barbecue (or any other food) in your life.. I've had a lot of great barbecue in my time and when I saw that GrubHub was doing deliveries for this place, I thought I'd give them a shot, since it would make a nice change from the tiny handful of delivery options in my area (basically pizza, Chinese food or Indian food - the latter two of which I just have no interest in), so I decided to give them a shot. BIG MISTAKE.

I ordered three of the 1/2 pound pulled pork sandwiches (intending to have one that evening and save one for lunch for the next day and one for my housemate), two of the sweet teas, a baked potato and a peach cobbler. The sides are lackluster - boring beans, cornbread, potato salad or something else. Lacking any better options (ie. no option for no sides at all), I ordered the potato salad and had them leave the cole slaw off of the sandwiches, because gross.

It took nearly 2 hours for the food to arrive (the delivery guy was quite nice) but when I took a bite of my sandwich, I could immediately see what a horrible mistake I'd made and that I probably should have just ordered some friggin' pizza.

To start off, the bun on the sandwich had this weird saltiness to it that I've never experienced on any other bun. The meat inside had very little sauce and the flavor of the meat was really odd. There was some kind of spice or something added to it that gave it this vague taste of Mexican food. Beyond that, though, it was just this overwhelming taste of something else that's supposed to tell your brain 'hey, this was smoked!'. Another review I read later said it was liquid smoke, so I'm guessing that was probably the culprit. The sauce was literally the blandest, most boring, flat, rubbish barbecue sauce I've ever tasted. Again - kinda like how the liquid smoke is supposed to tell your brain that 'THIS IS SMOKED FOOD THAT YOU ARE EATING', the sauce was saying 'THIS IS SOMETHING THAT YOU PUT ON THE SMOKED FOOD FOR EXTRA FLAVOR'. No kick, no hickory, no vinegar, just... red. Red sauce. That you put on stuff that is smoked. Super nasty. I barely made it three bites into the sandwich when I found a nice hunk of bone amidst the meat. Swell. My housemate said that can happen sometimes, but it's like I pointed out to her - I have *never* found a piece of bone in any other bbq I've had in my life. Ever.

The potato salad was... I don't even know what to call it, but it wasn't potato salad. I mean, again - this was a 'salad' made from potatoes and other stuff but it was grainy, didn't taste like anything (anything pleasant anyway) - no mustard, like you'd expect with Southern-style bbq, nothing. It might have had mayo in it, but honestly, I could hardly tell - it was packed into this weensy cup and basically looked like plaster you'd use to seal up a hole in your wall.

The tea was an atrocity. It's called "Mommies Sweet Tea" but that's an insult to Southern mothers and sweet tea everywhere. Like, seriously, Pacific Northwesterners - don't try to skimp or save or 'lighten up' or 'diet up' this stuff. It's tea. Real tea. Sugar. And ice. That's it. Not that hard. I don't know what this stuff was, but I took one sip and dumped both cups of the stuff down the sink. It was clearly a mix, and mixed poorly to boot. They're obviously hoping to save some time and/or money by using this stuff, but they either don't mix it properly or don't care that they're not mixing it properly, because you don't taste tea -- all you taste is sour. Like, the kind of sour that you get when you put too much Sweet & Lo in your tea, only worse. I don't know if the bad flavor was because it was a mix or because they put some fakey chemical no-cal sweetener into it, but it was disgusting. Mommies Sweet Tea, indeed.

The only two things that were actually passable were the baked potato (they make you choose between Potato with Butter, Potato with Sour Cream or Potato with other stuff - no option for a loaded potato and there wasn't even any butter on mine, although I specifically asked for it - wtf?) and the peach cobbler (not great, but at least I didn't find any bones in it!).

Oh, and here's the kicker - I call GrubHub right away and tell them that the food was disgusting and they text me later, saying 'oh, the manager isn't there, but we'll try again tomorrow'. They actually do finally get back to me, only to tell me that this shithole refuses to refund the $60 -- sixty green dollars, people - I spent on this, but is instead willing to give me a coupon for 10% off my next order (even though I specifically told GH that I did NOT want a coupon or discount or anything of the sort - I wanted a refund, period) and when I told GH that wasn't acceptable, GH just basically shrugged and said 'too bad, they're not giving you a refund, here's a $10 coupon'. I posted about it on Twitter and the GH people messaged me, saying they'd look into it, but basically wound up telling me the same thing: 'the restaurant refuses to give you a refund, oh and did we mention we gave you $20 for another order? That's more than we usually give!'. I told them, flat-out, that I would never be using GrubHub again and so their oh-so-generous $20 was pointless, especially since I'd spent three times that much on the actual food I didn't even eat. Absolutely piss-poor customer service.

GrubHub has lost a customer and suffice to say, this garbage place should be shut down. They don't know the first thing about real barbecue. It's probably run by clueless 'artisan bbq' hipsters. Ugh.

Disappointed Southerner. As a Southerner, two of my favorite things are BBQ and Sweet Tea (it is the house wine of the South, after all). I ordered the pulled pork sandwich with macaroni and cheese as my side. First, they were out of macaroni and cheese, which is a letdown in itself, so they subbed potato salad, which was not at all what I wanted, but their potato salad isn't half bad, so I enjoyed it, anyway. On to the pork sandwich. As pulled pork BBQ goes, it was, at best, just okay. There was a very strong artificial "liquid smoke" taste to the meat and the sauce was pretty bland. I would eat it again, but it will never be my favorite, not even my favorite in this area (that honor goes to Dickie's BBQ).
Now, on to the worst experience of this entirely disappointing meal, the sweet tea. The very first sip was enough to make me gag. I'm not even sure what they used to sweeten it, but it is the most god-awful tea I have had in my entire life. Overly sweetened, yet still bitter....with an aftertaste like licking a 9-volt battery. I have suffered through bad sweet teas in my life out of desperation, but this stuff was completely unpalatable and I had to throw it out after the third sip because I'm sure my body thought it was being poisoned.
Bottom line, don't get your heart set on any particular side, as they seem to have trouble with running out of the good ones (this was evident not only in my one visit, but by a number of first-hand accounts, as well). The pork sandwich is perfectly enjoyable, but wouldn't hold a candle to any barbeque you can get almost anyplace in the South. And, for the love of all that is holy, stay away from the sweet tea, I am convinced that it is toxic.

BBQ as good as it gets here in the NW. I was blown away by the flavor of the smoke throughout the meats, we got the party pack to try everything. Most people think ribs should fall off the bone and that is so not right! Ribs should come off bone easily but should still have tooth...
These ribs were moist and the smoke ring was perfection! We are Texans and it blew us out of the water! We ate bbq that afternoon, that night, the next morning and the afternoon after! The sauce is spicy but the meat doesn't need it. The brisket was tender and the flavor spot on! It came with two large sides, we chose potato salad, and beans...... wasn't crazy bout the potato salad, however the beans were the best I have eaten. Corn bread, moist and warm and buttery. and the peach cobbler was so good I could have smacked their Mama! You cant miss this place, we will be back again and again and again to get our BBQ fix!

The Beef Brisket sandwich. I don't have the words to describe the deliciousness of my lunch today. I can say that it was done right with the spicy BBQ sauce and coleslaw on top. The sides were perfect for my lunch. Great group all have been very friendly and easy to talk to.

RIBS. I have driven by this place many times and finally decided to give them a shot. Mind you I have been to Memphis TN. many times and have eaten at The Rendezvous which is famous for the ribs. I have also been to Lockheart TX and have eaten at Smittys, Blacks and Kreutz. Kreutz being FANTASTIC for their brisket.
So...I did like the dry rub on the ribs but they were not quite done enough to my satisfaction. The full rack I picked up was actually pretty darn big and the flavor was great so what I did was wrap the ribs in two layers of tin foil and threw them in the over for 3 hours at 180 deg and then....the meat fell off the bone.
All in all....I will go back because I definately want to try the brisket.

Must Have It !. The brisket is BOMB ! I love the fact that Memphis Style Dry Rub is with the sauce on the side and not dripping all over the meat.......that makes it the best with an option....the meat portions are adequate and filling....will come again and again as well as order for my occasions with family and friends.

It was the first time that I've visited and I ordered a pulled pork slider. It came with coleslaw potato salad and a pickle. The price is right for what you receive but the pulled pork was a little dry. They didn't put much sauce on it and the pulled pork was finely chopped not shredded. That made for a pretty dry sandwich. The potato salad and coleslaw very good, obviously they were homemade. I will give them a little bit more time to refine everything that they know imneeds improvement and I will try again. The staff was very friendly and even apologetic.

Not to impressed!. Been there twice, service leaves a bit to be desired! Always out of something! I ordered the child's brisket, 1/4 lb, friend ordered the adult brisket, 1/2 lb, there was more meat in mine then hers. Did like the potato salad although a very small amount. Don' think we will be back!

Pulled pork is great, but they're new and have room for improvement. Had the pulled pork sandwich, the benchmark dish for any bbq place. The pork was good, 1/2lb of meat on a sandwich for $9, pretty good deal. The baked beans on the side appeared to be from a can, very underwhelming, but they came free with the sandwich, so no complaint there.

The cornbread, which is advertised on the menu as $1.50 per "slice" is probably the worst deal in all of food history. They basically took a small muffin cup and filled it about halfway with batter, so you get a 1.5" diameter 3/4" tall disk of overbaked cornbread for $1.50. I'm pretty sure they'll get so many complaints about that they'll switch to baking in a larger pan and cutting actual slices like they advertise.

Also, the menu says the sandwiches come with "extra sauce" on the side, but there was no such thing in my box. It was a pity, because there wasn't enough sauce on the sandwich itself, but I took it back to work to eat and added my own sauce there.

Bottom line, I believe they're just in start-up mode, I think these things will improve, and they impressed me with great pulled pork, so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt for now. I'll go back and try all these things again and update my review if things get better.

Yummu. We had to try it .. It was very yummy. I liked the sauce on the side. We had the sampler we enjoyed the Beef brisket the most. The coleslaw was amazing. The one thing they could improve is the portions of the sides and cornbread. I think when you are craving this kind of food a 4 oz side is just not enough. The owner was super nice and they will figure these little things out. If you like Barbeque you should try this place for sure.

Worst bbq in NW. The food is dry and bland. The portions are extremely small for the price. Everything is dry, corn bread is 1.50 for a half a cup cake sized peice for example, but the menu tells you its a slice. The potato salad isn't even up to par with safeway, the pulled pork sandwich had no sauce, leaving your mouth dry and your thirst in high gear. I could not recommend this place less. I will never eat there again.

Great BBQ Rib Takeout Place. Ya gotta like a barbeque place with giant smoker ovens and a pit master that knows how to cook a great dry rub Memphis style rib. If you've had sauced ribs from Kansas City, Texas or Carolina, you have to try the Memphis style rib with flavorful seasoning, smoke and an excellent sauce on the side. The sauce has hints of chili powder and a bit of heat, perhaps from cayenne. While the place is primarily oriented to take-out, there is a tent and picnic tables where you can eat on-site. In addition to the ribs, Memphis Pit offers BBQ Chicken, Pulled Pork and Beef Brisket as well as sides of BBQ Beans, Potato Salad, Cole Slaw and Cornbread. I was there on 8/9/14, only their second day since opening. They do have some improvement to make in their speed of service. While they had an impressive level of staffing, it still took about 15 minutes to simply cut a rack of ribs and package it. Given the quality of everything else, I'm confident they will improve their processes to provide faster service. If you're a BBQ nut, ya gotta try this place!

You got to eat there!!!!!!!. Okay, so it was opening day, I thought it would be chaos with people not knowing what they were doing. That was not the case the food was...to put it.....HOLY S*** THIS WAS F***ING AMAZE-BALLZ. It looks like a little rinky dink operation but, WOW you really get some great food.

Famous Dav's does not even compare to this place. (also ever since I found out Famous Dav's buys Stouffer's macaroni and cheese for their "Jalapeno mac and cheese" I lost all faith in them.)

Good:
Great food!!!
Great staff (I sat down with one of the owner and he was very cool and a joy to talk to.)
The other staff were super friendly asking how the meal was and, just a very cheerful group.

Bad:
Time (5-7 for a drive thru). It was a bit of a wait BUT AND A BIIIIIIIIG BUT it was opening day AND near the end of day. Opening day for any restaurant would be crazy and also not knowing how much to make for the day with out numbers to fall back on this was to be expected (this is a one off operation). Even with this I was VERY happy with the food and wait time. This will get better as they work things over (I expect) after all, it was the first day.

They were sold out of a few things and I got a pork sandwich, (I'm not a fan of pork..but) I will order that time and time again because it was really great!

Overall:
I will be going back, because the food was worth it.
