Lucky Buffet

3 CHEERS!. Dined here on Mother's Day with family! How they dealt with the crowd was admirable to say the least. The food quality was a little down from the times we've been there previously BUT with the #s they had it was shocking that they could keep up at all! Nothing lacked.... all selections were available & our appetites were pleasantly satisfied.

It’s been five years since leaving Washington so part of the return was a visit to one of the few Chinese buffets available that I frequented often. I’m glad to report the food was FRESH, with the exception of the sushi bar - smelling the product gave fair warning they weren’t rotating the product frequently enough. And the sushi wasn’t cold enough even though the ice bed was fresh. It should be noted that my Chinese food cooking skills have advanced significantly these past five years. So I arrived with a different palate- more educated. More mature. So three stars ONLY because I found the appropriate seasonings to be weak. Lacking in strength. The way the food was cooked was spot on. And to pull that off for a massive Buffett requires skilled and trained staff. So very pleased to see they know what they are doing. And staff was continually checking the food and adding more. I checked by sitting close to the buffet. There was never a shortage of food or staff checking. Also good to see someone always sweeping the floor keeping it clean. Good sign of a restaurant. Wait staff were attentive and polite. Impeccably groomed and clean. Good sign. So after rereading my review I’ll change it to four stars. My only complaint is the sushi needed more attention and some of the sauces could use a little more potency with the spices. I will go back to this place. Not for the fried dumplings (steamed are better in my opinion). But for a good variety and quality of fresh Chinese food.

Update, this place was awesome for dinner. Food was great staff was hilarious and the place was so clean. It's ok for lunch but dinner was so good. Sushi is still just... technically sushi lol great place for the whole family and options for all.

lots of fun!! it was 48 dollars for 2 people, but it was pretty worth it.
