Very consistent good quality sushi in Evanston - you get what you would expect but nothing super spectacular. Take out orders are always properly wrapped to make sure it’s in the best quality to eat at home. Other than sushi, the store also sells many different Japanese products such as seasoning, ramen and mochi.

The food is great as is the service in my experience. The issue is I've had reactions to the gluten free sushi several times. I'm unsure if it's cross contamination, the GF soy sauce or the rice they use, but watch out. Highly recommend the restaurant for someone without Celiac's.

I visited Sea Ranch yesterday around 5 pm for a bowl of Beef Udon soup and it came with a freshly made California roll. Both were excellent and fresh. The broth had a home made taste to it which is a departure from most restaurant Udon offerings. I sipped it all after I polished off the noodles and beef. The place was very busy when I arrived and they were slow to acknowledge me and take my order. That said, the food was delivered to my table within 10 minutes of ordering. I stop in at Sea Ranch when I need authentic Japanese ingredients in a pinch, otherwise I frequent Hmart for greater variety and more competitive prices.

Don't order if you want a delivery. Good sushi, terrible delivery options. We have 1/10 times gotten delver sooner than 2 hours. Tonight we ordered at 4:45 and at 7:15 we called and they were still waiting for a delivery person. We could have picked up but they said originally 2 hours (too long but we went with it) but when I called at 2.5 hours they still hadn't sent delivery. How long do you think our order was sitting at the restaurant. It's so sad bc we love to support local places but time and time again this one disappoints. Try another place. We will, we've tried but they don't figure it out.

Great food, horrible service though. The delivery window was an hour and they were still 35minutes late. I heard their driver throw/drop from a height my order onto the ground and didn’t even knock on the door. I guess they didn’t have to since I could hear my food hit the ground through a solid core door and across my apt. Would maybe dine in but I don’t think I’ll be ordering from here again.

This has nothing to do with the quality of the food. However, the service here is absymal. I can't tell you how many time I have ordered food here and get there during the time to pick up only to wait an additional 15 to 30 min for my food on top of waiting the first 45 min. This happens constantly and even when they are not that busy. Their ordering system timing needs to be fixed and times need to be corrected. This would be a 5 star review but this is pathetic
