Super low key brewery. Hidden from the street, so look closely or you might miss it. Ample beer selection. Some are good and some are even better. There's a beer for every type of drinker

Love Temperance Beer Co! Great staff and great beer. Nice outdoor seating options and easy parking. Get a flight and see what you like! 🍻

This place is comfortable and has friendly vibes! Cold, fresh, savory flavors. Balanced, not bitter, the appearance of the beers are beautiful . Clean and clear and taste as good as they look. When Ben is behind the bar your going to be treated like family. He is patient and informative and just a great guy. Come in on Fridays because some vendors will be cooking , or bring your own food!!This place is in the cut (hidden) which makes it even more special, love it!

Emily from Temperance Beer led a beer flight tasting at a client's birthday party in Glenview. Her service was phenomenal and she has a ton of knowledge about craft beers. The beers itself were very flavorful and tasty! We feel very grateful to have Temperance Beer as one of our vendors for parties. The whole team there does such an incredible job. I don't live close but when I find myself in Evanston, I like popping in for a beer. They do great tours! Overall 10/10 service and great beer!

Nice low key tap room. Very relaxed, clean with friendly, attentive staff. Too much emphasis on IPAs, but that's just my personal preference.

Had to try “where I’m From” *100% PROCEEDS BENEFIT EVANSTON’S REPARATIONS* and while it’s not perfect reparations for the injustice of the world I applaud tiny steps. Cheers!

Temperance has everything going for it. Great beer, a cool space to enjoy that beer, cider and kombucha for non beer drinkers, a patio, BYO/order in food options, plenty of parking, and great staff. Honorable mentions are cool merch, clean bathrooms, and tons of to go beer options. If you’re a stout fan, the Might Meets Right series is one of the best stouts in Chicago.
If it’s your first time coming here, signage is a bit small so just keep an eye out for a swim school sign that’s more prominent and you’ll so the Temperance logo just below it.

Some really, really good bear and an interesting vibe. They've done a great job turning such an unusual location into an inviting oasis, not just with their own space but by inviting food trucks and hosting music and other events. I love the old-fashioned idea of re-using a growler bottle to get beer (they have other sizes, too, if you're not ready to commit to drinking 64 ounces of beer in one evening). it's a great place to sit and have a beer - plenty of space, music just loud enough to hear but not so loud you have to raise your voice, and it's tucked away from the street so that you don't even hear the traffic up on Dempster.
