Best BBQ I've ever had! The ribs were fall off the bone tender and the brisket was amazing. I loved the BBQ sauce to put on top. I love that it's an all you can eat BBQ place, first one I've ever been to!

North Main BBQ is Chopped host Ted Allen's Best BBQ Beef Brisket as seen on the show Best Thing I Ever Ate. How could I resist an all-you-can-eat BBQ buffet for less than $15?! Although you don't have to get the buffet, I of course did so I could try everything at least once. I'm so glad I did because everything was delicious.
Little unsure about a BBQ buffet but it ended up being really good. Sausage and ribs were great. No skin on the bottom. Potato salad and cole slaw was also good.
BBQ Buffet that Works. Where do I even start? This place is a buffet-style BBQ joint that tastes amazing! How does that work? I don't know, but I'll be back to enjoy it, for sure! They have everything you would expect as far as meat: sliced brisket, chopped brisket, chicken, sausage, etc. As well as some great sides: rolls, beans, corn, etc.
It's a bit on the pricey end (I think it was $15pp), but come hungry and you won't be disappointed.
As someone from Memphis I'm a BBQ eater. This place has a great hometown BBQ joint feel and the pulled pork and ribs were great. I'll definitely be coming back again
What can be said in another review that hasn't already been said? This place is where great BBQ happens. I have been coming to this place since 94, and it NEVER disappoints, the prices have went up since 94 but who cares! It's still a deal at 15. Considering that's all you can eat awesome BBQ, your drink, all the sides, and dessert! I bet you will spend more at a crappier BBQ restuarant. Get there now and stop wasting time reading about how good it is! Try it for your self!

Glad I dont live close by.... I rarely write bad reviews anymore, thanks to Urbanspoon. I mean seriously... its so easy to avoid the bad spots if you have a smartphone or can take the time to do a bit of research on your computer before stepping out. So, with that in mind, here is another "not bad review"...
Stepped into this place thinking i would get a BBQ sand and some fries to go, and was a bit confused at first by the layout. A friendly guy behind the counter explained it- its either All you can eat of everything for $15, or you can step down to smaller choices around $9. Ribs are on the buffet, as well as chicken, sausage, sliced brisket, and chopped beef. Also, cole slaw, potato salad, BBQ pinto beans (what i would call Ranch Style), and various garnishments and white bread. drinks are included, as is self serve soft serve ice creme.
Folks running this place are "seasoned" just right- not a bunch of kids who know nothing or could care less about the business, but more mature individuals who you can tell take pried in what they do, and take care of the customer. Always a winning combination IMO.
As for the food- I didnt find anything I did not like. even the slaw and potato salad are the kind I like. I did find the sliced beef to be a bit fatty here and there, but that is where the flavor comes from, and some folks like some fat, so if you dont, you just trim off what you dont want. After all, you picked that piece of meat anyway, since it is self serve. Im sure if you want really lean and dont want to trim it, the man behind the counter will fix you up!
Ribs on a buffet? you expect nothing but crappy ribs, no meat, dry, etc... but that is simply not the case. They are meaty and tasty and moist- delicious! I could easily make myself sick on these.
The rest- Sliced brisket was tender- again, a bit of fat, but not a problem. The chicken seemed like breast meat- trimmed from the bone, and was a bit dry, but worked well with the thick BBQ sauce. The chopped beef was moist and spicy. Would make a great sandwich. Fixings included dill pickle slices, pickled okra, chopped onion, salad peppers. I would have like some pickle relish, but the pickles worked fine.
in summation, I wont say this is the best BBQ I ever ate, but there is simply nothing bad about it. I would not hesitate to stop here again, and hope I can find an excuse to get back over here.

Awesome bbq! Ribs were the best, meaty and flavorful. Other meat was great too. Didn't bother with the sides too much but the potato salad was really good. The only thing I didn't care for was the bbq sauce which was just a little to heavy on the vinegar for my taste. But still ok. Will definitely go back. Worth the 30 mile trip for me. ;-)
Good Q. Good assortment of smoked meats from pork to beef to poultry. The Potato Salad and Ranch Beans were good by them selves and not your typical below average afterthought sides that seem to be the norm for barbeque restaurants.
GREAT. Love this place. Amazing BBQ and great sides. Prices are very good. only wish they were open more days because i always forget their hours.
i have been going to this place for over 20+ years... many experiences. some great ones and some demeaning. the old original owner use to call me "rice." True story. original owners sold it. and its been through several owners... but its still GOOD! the all you can eat 15 has gone up to 22 but prices of meat has gone up. 15 was a 20 years old price. This place is an institution, support your local businesses. keep it alive, the food is still excellent! one meat plate 9, 2 meat plate 12, 3 meat plate 15 + 2 sides. all you can eat 22.
Services was great! I got the chicken, which wasn't dry but it wasn't juicy either. But everything tasted great. Mac n cheese was obviously homemade and want overtly salutary as can happen. I can't speak to price as it was a business lunch and my boss paid, but I'll definitely return.
