Pappy's Pizzeria

We had been at this place once before and had the buffet. They do not have the buffet on weekends. While the pizza was good, I think the price for a medium 1 topping pizza was much too high. $23.97! It looks like they are trying to make up for not having enough people in there place during the week. We moved here from a big city and I have been truly amazed at some restaurants and what they charge. We need More competition.

The pizza is okay, pretty expensive for what you get. There is a play area which while my kids enjoyed it I am not a fan of places with ball pits as they can not be properly sanitized. Not necessarily the fault of the pizza place, but my kids ended up getting norovirus after going here pro a ly due to the fact that play places don't get the proper scrub down on a regular basis and the virus can survive on surfaces for 2 weeks.

Well the pizza has been consistent, but EVERY single time I have ordered online or called it has been late and today was ok different, EXCEPT, it was 35 MINUTES LATE. You would think that they would post maybe 5 or 10 minutes later time than the normal half hour when you order online being every time I have ordered it has been late (am I’m not talking 5 or 10 minutes). No “thank you”, no “We’re sorry, here’s a coupon for next time”, nothing.... I would have also understood if they were busy, they were not. When I got there, there were two people in line and one person eating by themselves in the restaurant area. They did get busy while I was waiting, but all were placing orders to eat there. Sorry Pappy’s, you may have done it for the last time, by the way, you are overpriced for your good pizza.

Very disappointed with my experience at Pappy's. I ordered a pizza with extra toppings, that I paid extra for. When the pizza was delivered it was cold, hard, and missing the toppings I paid extra for. I then called the store and received a young woman who was very uninterested in my dissatisfaction. Only after I told her many times how I was not happy with the service, she said all she could do was credit me .80 cents. They lost a customer. I won't be ordering here again. Not only do they mess your order but they don't try to make it right.

The pizza itself is actually pretty good. Traditional pizzeria style. That being said, I'm dumbfounded at just how expensive the pizza is. A medium pizza here costs more than a large handcrafted pizza from Lombardi's in downtown Manhattan!!! Quite frankly it's more expensive than any of the "pizza institutions" in NY. I can't hold this against this place alone, because this is true of the other big pizza options in Eugene as well. Eugene is just backwards in this way. The play area is great for kids.
