Really neat location near the water wheel.
Pretty inside and outside the place is striking.
Food isn't bad. Priced not too badly for Estes Park, the pork burrito was tasty.
Service was a bit slower than I would have expected. The wait wasn't too bad but settling the check took a while and that really shouldn't happen. There are lots of places where it goes from picked up card to signature slip in 60 seconds. These guys were more than fifteen minutes. I think someone got distracted.
We had a great experience! Tacos and enchiladas were good, service was excellent. We did come in off season but the whole experience was pleasant. I'd come again!

This was an unexpected treat, being from Texas I had my doubts. But this was a great place! The cheese slice on top of the Enchilada Suiza could have been left off but other than that it was excellent!! Service was outstanding! In my opinion a undiscovered gem.
Loved it! The portions were big and the servers were helpful and attentive. The kids (and Mom & Dad) loved eating on the rooftop. My kids can be pretty picky, but the chicken nuggets and fries were a hit.
This place is cool!. What a strange but interesting, unique location/style of building. At the very top of a twisting, staired shopping "mall," this restaurant has plenty of windows and outdoor seating with a great view of downtown Estes. We had great food; street tacos, both pork and beef, were absolutely delicious. Our service was very friendly. Only drawback-the tables outside are the metal with holes. Somewhat awkward for smaller items, like silverware, salsa cups, and any purse-removed trinkets. All and all, a nice place!
Good Experience. The pork burrito was really good. They weren't very busy when we went but contrary to the other review on here our service was great, the best we had on this trip actually. The chips are really crispy, salty and good, the salsa tastes like it came from a jar though (yuck). The rooftop patio has a pretty nice view.
Go with your gut feeling. I learned this evening to never trust internet reviews of restaurants. Many reviews of Chelito's in Estes Park referred to horrible service as well as bad and expensive food. We went to Chelito's solely based on the fact that their entrees were under $20 .... something hard to come by in EPCO. We were treated with fantastic service and the food (although not amazing) was very good. The salsa was quite possibly the best I've had in a long, long time. We were very pleased.
Chelitos does have more authentic Mexican dishes and our meals were big and we couldn't finish the meal. Nice top floor patio and our service was excellent with the exception of the tab taking awhile to get. We wouldn't hesitate to come back if in Estes. The molcajetethe is a specialty and beware it's a lot of food. Comes in a big black stone like bowl and was worth trying. Prices were very reasonable for what you get.
My husband and I decided to try Chelitos while we were up in Estes Park. We were pleasantly surprised. It was delicious and the service was amazing. We will definitely be back.
We will always support a restaurant that has dedicated vegan items! Thank you! Food was delicious and service was good. Not sure why all the reviews about being neglected. All the servers were busy and we were served in a normal amount of time. Maybe those reviews are by demanding tourists? Prices are high, but I feel like it's to be expected in a tourist town.
I ordered the Cochinita Pibil plate, the pork was nice and juicy (a little greasy), rice slightly crunchy, beans were great tasting!
We just love Chelitos!! Always greeted with smiles and rarely have a wait for a table, even on weekends. The food has great flavor, the portions just right and seriously fabulous Margaritas! My husband's Rum and Coke was great too. We had the Carnitas Plate and the Carnitas Street Tacos, sooooo good, full of flavor! Also the Guacamole, made at the table, was really delicious. Most of all, great service and atmosphere. Definitely our favorite Mexican restaurant in Estes Park! Definitely recommended!
The fish tacos were delicious. I enjoyed the side dishes as well. Unlimited chips and salsa. Good service. Prices are reasonable. We’ll come back to eat at this place again soon.
