Old Town Buffet

$20 PER person for dinner as of 2/28/22 they are quick to take your money but honestly food was very bland. They include your drink which you now serve your self & one of the machines the ice wasn’t working. most likely won’t be coming back here unfortunately. true what everyone else says. They should definitely remodel and hire new people in front and back.

From the outside, my wife and I thought that this was the Asian buffet of our dreams; however, once inside we were very disappointed, as soon as we went in, we found two people that seems to be the cashier and management, so disconnected with the business giving the impression that they are only to get the cash and then forget about you focused in their own chatting. The food does not deserve the price that you pay, my wife could identify a lot of points where "cross contamination" are to occur (My wife is an expert in food service), the ice cream was more ice than cream, nobody respected the rule to wear mask when picking up food and there were no one to put order , after we finished one set of serving nobody would come to pick up the dirty dishes.

Good service, wheelchair accessible, kid friendly, poor bathrooms and okay variety. The staff was very cheerful, prompt, and attentive. Quick to take plates and make sure we understand the menu. There were multiple families there and I saw TONS of varying types of high chairs. I had to change a diaper in the restroom. Not great. Lots of varying wet spots on the floor. Bits of toilet paper. Also unsure if it was some off brand cleaner or some other issue but it smelled..sour? Definitely not simple green. The variety was okay. Nothing great but nothing amazing. The wings were dry but the fries were seasoned. The sushi seemed freshly made and going quick. All the desserts except for the "tiramisu" and ice cream was hard.and a bit dry. I didn't hate it but I wouldn't intentionally go here again. Not with all the variety available.

I cant give a zero! The service wasn't good the lady in the front was giving alot of attitude the lady who was picking up old plates out the way was giving us bad looks for food we didn't like we didn't know we had to get our own drinks the food was bland not much was cooked correctly and overly to salty or over cooked where the shrimp was to rubbery the egg drop soup tasted like it was out of a can and mostly tasted like corn juice I also found a hair in my shrimp the meat for hibachi girl was cut way to small Then there was alot of kids running around and making a mess .

Excellent, excellent selections everywhere to be found. Full salad bar, spicy squid salad, fresh boiled shrimp with cocktail sauce, Jello and pudding and fresh fruit on the cold bar. All kinds of sushi rolls regular sushi, I had octopus, shrimp, eel, and tuna. They also had Mongolian Barbecue which I did not try and on their hot table chicken teriyaki chicken mushroom, chicken chow mein, steamed clams, salty fried squid, salty fried prawns, crab clusters, Pizza, desserts, and almost anything else you could ask for. Bottomless soft drinks $1.89 and the dessert bar that I didn't even bother to take a look at. This is my first time here in Escondido doing a job and found this buffet for dinner and as many buffets and as much Chinese food as I have eaten in the state of California this ranks among the top three. The trays are on the hot bars and on the cold bars we're always full you were never meant to feel like they didn't want you to take what you're able to eat and the place is packed to where there was a wait outside. I highly recommend this wonderful Asian buffet!!
