For those that don’t know, Miners has new ownership as of last November, and let me say that the food has really stepped up from what we previously knew (not that it was ever bad) so if you were turned off by previous food options, give it another chance!!
The “Best Burgers In Town” is no joke, and their take out is arguably the best to go food in Erie. Tonight we had the Western, the Motherlode (the jalapeños were spicy tonight!) and the little one had some Mac & Cheese. The burgers were cooked to perfection, the onion rings and tater tots were classically delicious, and as an added bonus, we were delighted with some of the homemade chocolate chip cookies!
I will be the first to admit that I would never have thought to order chocolate chip cookies from a Tavern, but holy smokes these are truly some of the best cookies I’ve ever had!
That said, please support our local businesses! These small business owners are taking a huge hit, and I personally want to see Erie continue to grow and thrive after we’re on the upside of this!
Great burgers! Ice cold beer! Good music! Reasonable prices! A down to earth neighborhood tavern.
Why don't more people eat here!? The menu is limited... Burgers, bar good, wings.... But always fabulous. And the staff is great. Vibe is chill. Drinks are awesome.
This past weekend, my wife had a hankering for a good burger. And even though the service is currently take-out only, we decided to order up some grub from Miners and drive over to pick it up. My wife ordered the Motherlode and I had a Patty Melt. We both got an order of fries. The food was so good, we ordered the same thing the next night. Only the second time, I got an extra order of fries so there would be some left by the time we got home.
Both burgers were big and tasty. The fries were great. Even in this take-out only world we're living in, the food was well worth the round-trip drive.
It was a pleasure in this day and time to have such a nice, smiley face server/bartender greet our table and take care of the whole time we were there. Stephanie is amazing...even behind her mask, you can tell she is smiling. She suggested that I get a burger. She made the best suggestion. This was the best burger and home cut fries I have ever had. You can tell that the health and cleanliness of her customers is her priority, as she continued to clear our dirty dishes to where we only had the glasses we were drinking out of left, on the table. Very attentive!!! We will most definitely be back and will always request Stephanie.
I love the veggie burger and all the other food. The fries are fresh cut.Tammy is awesome during the day, friendly and mixes great drinks. I love this bar. The male bartender who works nights sometimes is pretty meh and can have an attitude which is my only complaint. Still love it here!
What a great spot. The staff are so friendly. They say they have the best burgers in Erie and while I haven't been able to try all the burger places in Erie I can't imagine a better burger!! It was fantastic!
Miner's is the oldest bar in Erie. It's history as old as the town itself. It began as a small drinking hole for the local mining community in the early 1900's. It's stayed a constant in the developing landscape of Old Town Erie. Over time it has transformed from an adult only "bar" bar to a place for the whole family.
At Miner's you will find a shuffle table, pool table and a large, turfed back patio large enough to fit an entire little league team. During the warmer months there is patio seating in the front as well. From these tables you can do some great people watching, in as its in the middle of the downtown action.
If you are going there for one thing, a burger should be it! They have other great sandwiches, salads and apps too. During non-COVID the bar scene in the later evening is the only one in town that resembles a proper tavern. While other restaurants close down by 9 or 10, you can count on Miner's being open until 2 AM on most days.
