This was my 3rd visit to the restaurant. We had a reservation at 730 pm and showed up at 530 pm hoping we could be seated early. The restaurant was packed but they accommodated us which was great! I enjoyed the previous visits but our dinner last night was memorable thanks to our fabulous waitress Emma. She was friendly, had great energy and was knowledgeable of the menu. She recommended the scallops which were cooked to perfection. Hubby had the prime rib and devoured it in minutes. He was also a big fan of the ribs and I enjoyed the mussels. The drinks were delicious as well. I will make it a point to come back more often thanks to the wonderful Ms. Emma and amazing food.

HANDS DOWN, THE BEST breakfast place in the area! Portion sizes are excellent! You'll definitely need a to-go box. The prices are a little high but the quality of your breakfast definitely matches the price. Staff is super friendly and service was fast. We got the green Chile chilaquiles and scrambled eggs, the Papagayo skillet (3 sunny side eggs, avocado sauce, sausage ham and bacon with roasted potatoes) and the classic pancake stack with eggs and bacon.

Italian Mexican fusion restaurant with a costal beach vibe to it. Great food with lots of outdoor seating and they have live music. Fun place to eat with a wide variety of options. The mussels were SO fresh, can’t wait to come back again to try them!

One of the best breakfast I ever had in San Diego. We ordered shrimp and grits, papagayo skillet. Great flavor and portion! There are big thick crispy bacons, and big chuck bell peppers in shrimp and grits! Great seasoning and perfectly cooked! Definitely coming back!

I had the Roasted Hawaiian Kahlua Pork. It comes with a huge portion of pork, which isn’t a bad thing but it was almost too much, a bit of rice and some delicious grilled pineapple. I may have eaten too much of the bottomless bread with pesto dip before my main meal got to me, but if you order that bread basket you will understand why. Do order the bread, even though it will 100% ruin your meal after 3 orders of it. Great service here too. That bread was on our table in minutes.

Food is pretty good (only if you order Mexican) but not mind-blowing to deserve a 4.6 stars in my honest opinion. However, what makes up for it is the atmosphere with the live music. The place is thriving with character and spirit and puts a smile on everyone's face all over. The steak taco set was pretty phenomenal with the steak juicy and tender. The oaxacan cheese and vegetables perfectly complemented the meat and flour tortillas. The mussels however were "meh" at best and we were really surprised on the difference in caliber. Grainy sand bits with a bland, fishy and salty au jus. But the worst was the chicken satay. I have no idea why they'd paste it with peanut butter unless it was a poor assimilation of Thai-style satays. Chicken meat was tough and bland. A real disappointment. To top it all off, they didn't even carry Mexican lagers - Model Especial, etc.

Good food , Big portions, and friendly staff! Located along highway 101, this place is good for Sunday brunch with friends and family. It can be a bit pricey but if you're a local and can afford to live in Encinitas I'm sure you can afford eating here once in a while.
