My husband and I ordered subs. They were nicely warmed and filled with fresh ingredients. The subs were both really filling. The place was clean and well staffed. Staff was friendly and helpful. My husband also got a cherry chocolate chip cookie, we were pleasantly surprised at how good it was. Not that we really had room after eating our subs, but sometimes things just look too appealing to pass up.

Food was very good. Cuban sandwich was super. Chocolate chip cherry cookie was dynamite! They gave us the wrong soup but it was still good. Take your meal a couple of blocks down to the lake shore. A perfect lunch stop.

Every time we run the sleeping bear dune marathon we have to go to Shipwreck Cafe. They have amazing sandwiches. Service is stellar. Sandwiches came out very fast. Sandwiches are delicious and filling. Clever names for their sandwiches on the menu and they also have local branded chips. Highly recommend.
Only negative is there is not much room for dine in if it is not nice outside.

This place really provided a great sub sandwich with a home made sub bun after a long ride to Glen Arbor on my bike! An excellent moist bun filled with a large amount of meats and great Italian dressing. Plus they were accommodating to an allergy. I will definitely be back more often now that I’ve found this little gem of a deli and for sure will give that pizza a try!

Great little sandwich spot in Empire! Doesn't look like much, but creative selection of tasty sandwiches- SS Nordonic and Rouse Simmons were excellent! Walk over from the Sleeping Bear Dunes Center and grab a bite before hiking the dunes.

What a great stop! I'm glad we stopped when passing through. This small cafe has the best sandwiches and soup. We ordered the chicken club sandwich and chicken noodle soup. The bread had sea salt on it but not too much. The bread was crisp, and the meat and toppings were fresh. There isn't much seating inside so we ate it on the road.

Ordered one of their sandwiches that was on a pretzel bun, asked if it was hard? The young man said it wasn't as hard as I thought it was, fair warning it was to hard for my cousin and I to eat. I cannot give a rating on the food because I couldn't eat it. But, the service was excellent 👍

Awesome little sandwich shop, we make a point of stopping in several times during our yearly vacation in the area. The Fitzgerald sandwiches are amazing!

The fastest sandwiches you’ll ever get. The long was pretty long but once you order you’ll get your food within 5 minutes!
I got the Three Brothers but pressed and my friend got the Carl Bradley and we shared half and half. It was the way to go in order to try both! Both really good.
There’s also a lot of picnic tables outside where you can hangout and eat!

Bench seats inside, outdoor picnic tables with umbrellas outside. The one thing we recommend is more kid-friendly breads that’re easier to chew but man, everything tasted so FRESH! Even our 4 year old said, “this grilled cheese is AMAZING!” I loved the vegetarian sandwich, which I believe was called the Griffin. Also liked that the chips were local. 👌
