The food and wait staff service here are excellent. However, do not question the owner about wine knowledge as she will bite your head off if you assert any of your knowledge. She was totally dismissive of natural wines and orange wine, both very popular now and much is written about them. The food
Good food, but small portions, very nice environment, good service.
What a gem to find up here in Northern Michigan! The food was divine with amazing layered flavors, better than most restaurants we go to in Chicago . The owner helped us pick the perfect wine and taught a few things too. The atmosphere was warm and quaint, a perfect dinner for the holidays!
Haven’t been to The Rowe Inn in many years. Always made it a point to eat there when we went up north. My husband, Norm Baylis, was a fan of sweet Annie, who was an outstanding wait-person! The whole crew was the best, and the food was done to perfection. This place is one of the best in Michigan
At least during the off season, if not year round, the Rowe features a great brunch deal: $25/person for a three course meal.
My wife and I went and, after drinks and desert, got out of there for $90.
The food was outstanding, the service was attentive with out pestering, and the presentation sup
This was a wonderful find. It was indeed fine dining with a wonderful atmosphere. The wine list was all inconpessing with a wonderful Italian section.
The food was perfect with special attention to the sauces, soups, and presentation. It could not have been better!
Loved this place. Excellent service and amazing food. The bartender paired wine with our courses and did a fantastic job. She was extremely knowledgeable about the wines. Very friendly place, met some fun people as well
We had a wonderful dinner last night! The morel soup was absolutely delicious. The duck confit was extremely flavorful and moist. The new chef is fantastic! Thank you for a great evening!
We come here several times a year. The food is always amazing. Last night was no exception. To complement the food, Laurel does some great wine pairings. The wine cellar is amazing. She'll even do a half (or even quarter) glass. Last night we had a pairing with the appetizer and main course.
Mostly excellent, I would say the confirmation was a bit dry on the surface but very tasty. Morel and escargot and wild mushroom soup we're spectacular. Scallops were very goid. The sonalier was quite understanding of my picky wife. I will be back.
The Rowe is a decadent dining experience. It's top shelf all the way! I enjoyed a lovely smoked salmon pate, served with these rustic cracker ribbons. For dinner I enjoyed a beef stroganoff laced with petite morel mushrooms. Laurel, our semallier, brought out an excellent bottle of wine, and our ser
I loved our dinner here. It was such a warm and cozy atmosphere and the service was so spot on. I can never avoid baked brie or duck when it's on the menu. What's not to love?
Dinner was a delicious delight. The bulgur wheat dinner rolls were so surprising, warm & tasty with butter molded into cute bunny and lamb shapes. The dressing on the mixed green salad was either a warm sweet & sour bacon or a herb vinaigrette that was fragrant & tasty. Our table ordered sauerkraut
We had a party of 5. Dishes ranged from filet mignon to track of lamb to chicken and walleye. All were some well. They have an excellent somolier to assist with wine choices and the pairing suggested proceed excellent as was their wine list.
Spectacular experience from the moment you walk through the door. If you're looking for special this is the place. Exceptional wine list and delicious food. Dinner for 5 and everyone was thrilled.
The Rowe is like part of Spring up here. When the snow leaves The Rowe Opens. They make the most amazing foods. Especially their moral mushroom dishes and soups.
Stay safe...
