Tonight was our first pizza and beer from The Hitching Post! It was so good and there was so much on that beast that I could only eat two peices! Thank you for dinner and breakfast! ~The Lunsfords

While wanting pizza for dinner on one of our last nights in Ellijay, we came across the Hitching Post and I’m so glad we did. The pizza was just the way we like it...thin crust and lots of fresh toppings. The ladies working there were very friendly and had our pizzas out to our car in no time. We will definitely be back the next time we are in town.

Amazing pizza. We got the Special and the New York cheese. Well worth the money. The toppings were fresh, crispy, and loaded sky high. 3 adults couldn't finish 1 large Special.

Pizza was unbelievably delicious! Did not spare on the toppings. Great beer choices, no liquor even though Google says it does. Nice couple working.

Best pizza I've had since moving to Ellijay. Very good sandwiches/subs too. Order ahead, then pickup at the drive thru. You can also get your beverages like, beer and wine the same way. 😊

Al's special pizza is the best. This is the best pizza in town, in my humble opinion. Call in your and just drive up for the pick!!! I LOVE THE HITCHING POST!

Wow—I wasn’t expecting pizza this good. I needed to pick up a six pack and a pizza to take to a group movie night. I was in a hurry and thought I’d get them both at one place. It was my good luck that I drove in here. This pizza was loaded with meat and cheese. Great crust. One of the best pizzas I have ever had. The store has the best beer and wine selection around here I think. Super nice people run this and have for over 30 years. It’s small and doesn’t have a lot of parking, but if you call your order in you can drive through and they will hand it to you through your window

Thank you to the lady who owns the personal care home in McCaysville that told me about this place yesterday. Awesome pizza! Wonderful people we will definitely be back.
