The food is always good and the Sunshine Depot is such a comfy place to sit with those big dark wood booths. I met a friend there yesterday who I hadn’t seen in a long time. We sat there for over 3 1/2 hours and never felt like we were being rushed out by the staff. Terrific jukebox too!!

My husband and I always love coming to The Sunshine Depot. The service is always excellent and the food is really good too. You feel like a regular when you step through the doors and I love that we can just come, hang out, have a beer and enjoy a good conversation with each other but also with the staff and other customers. Ashley is our favorite waitress, she is so nice and personable. Definitely a great spot in Elk River!

I will come back. This restaurant is a great place to come watch the game and have some food with your friends - which is exactly what I did. The waitress was prompt, attentive and topped our drinks off. What I enjoyed was so off that menu tip. Our waitress came over and said I know it sounds weird to try the cheese curd with some warm caramel. Sure enough it was good.

Beautiful location right on the river! The indoor seating is nice too. A nice menu with lots of options. The reason I gave it a 4/5 is because I asked for a medium burger and the thing they brought me was literally uneatable. It was burnt to a crisp and the server asked me why I wasn't eating my burger and I showed her the inside. She told me that she would remove it from the tab which was fine but I left unsatisfied. I have a feeling that this was just a one off so I will return and hopefully change my rating to a 5/5 star!

This restaurant is very clean VERY well ran you can look behind their counter and see how organized and clean their kitchen is. Staff was super friendly small menu Great food Good Price point! We can't wait to come back.

We dined at the Sunshine Depot this past Thursday before the concert by the river, which ended up being moved to the high school. The only complaint was that they had a limited menu even though the concert had been moved. I wanted to try their boasted chicken, however it turned out ok because we ended up ordering their pizza. There were 3 of us and we each ordered the smaller personal pizzas. They were delicious. I ordered a veggie pizza and my husband and the other person ordered the meat pizzas. The pizzas here are really good. Crispy thinner crusts and plenty of toppings. Will definitely go back here for the pizza and to try the boasted chicken.
