We love the Egg Foo Young and General Tao Chicken (spice level 5). The egg rolls are also good. It is on the pricy side, though.

How have we missed this place? So glad we stopped in to try Chang Express. The server was nice and did such a great job explaining the sauces and dishes. We ordered one dish and told her to surprise us with one of her favorites. Both dishes were absolutely delicious. Rice was great, the hotness was perfect for me at a level 5. We are already talking about going back to try some other dishes. So glad we made the stop.
Have to make a change to my review. The guy that works there has a bad attitude. We went there an hour before closing and he wasn't the nicest. We accepted it because it was close to closing. We went again well before closing amd his attitude was the same. Our friend order a hotness of 2 and it was too hot for her. I tried it and it was the same as my 6. I really enjoyed the girl that works there but the guy does not be the face of the business with such a poor personality.

Everything is good! My favorites are the Sesame chicken, Sweet and Sour Chicken. Pad Thai, Crab Rangoon, Egg drop soup... WAIT i love it all!!

We went here for the first time today and they were quite friendly on our take out order and told us it would be about 25 minutes, so we went out to wait in our car out front. At about 20 minutes he came out and knocked on the window with our order and said it was done a few minutes early so he thought he'd bring it out so it would still be hot. When we got home with it we were VERY impressed with the food! It was Very Very Good! We Will be repeat customers!!! Totally satisfied with our order! Highly recommend them.
My ONLY complaint is they charge an additional 5% if you charge your order.

I stopped here with my mom last summer on vacation and it was amazing. The portion size we got was huge, the food was some of the best we've had and the workers were really nice

My family has a place on Torch Lake and before we started going to Chang Express we would drive all the way to Traverse City for Chinese. Not anymore. My parents suggested Chang Express, which is only 10 minutes way, and we love it! I love super spicy food and their Thai is amazing, especially if you ask for it extra spicy. My favorite dish is the Pad Ped - ask for it spicy level 10 if you love to be in pain after you eat :). We love having something different than the typical American food close by in Elk Rapids without having to drive all the way to Traverse City.

Every time I support their business, the owners are super friendly and the food is delicious! I ordered the wonton soup and 2 egg rolls today! I definitely would recommend them if you’re in Elk Rapids or just passing through!
