I used to love Tijuana but I have started to notice changes in one of the food items that are my favorite which is the shrimp tacos. They keep changing and I don’t like them anymore because it’s not the same taste that I had the first or second time it’s different or something is missing. I had a pickup order and in the pic, you can see I barely had any sauce to taste it. I thought oh well I love their chips and salsa but to my disappointment, I didn’t have any salsa in the bag so I didn't wanna bother eating just plain chips.
Update: I went back and they taste like I remember delicious even the taco shell!! I’m glad I decided to give it another chance and I will continue to eat there.
Very nice, quiet and intimate environment. The staff here had some of the best costomer service I've seen in a long time. They are extremely friendly. The food was hot, fresh and delicious. If you like spicy, ask for their Tarasco sause. It's delicious and adds a reasonable amount of spice. Overall a great experience
Loved our first experience here! We were so excited to have another Mexican restaurant in town! The employees were working very hard but still had great attitudes. The food was amazing! The only recommendation I have is to not order water to drink (it had a foul metallic type after taste). Definitely will be coming back here though!
Which is better? Good food or great service? Now if you could have both, wouldn’t that be the best? The stars just reflect that.
Our server Tim was a delight. He was courteous, checked on us frequently and stopped by to chat; all the while being engaging but not obtrusive at all. Todd who manages the restaurant came by when we had finished to thank us. During Covid, we had kind of forgotten these small details that make eating out fun. Loved seeing that ‘service with a smile’ back. And can’t wait to go back!!
First time here. Resturant very clean and pretty.
I had the lunch fajitas, very good. I compliment the cook! Also, I asked for mild salsa but they didnt hv any made, which I was find with, however the waiter went to kitchen and asked for fresh made salsa for me! Such a nice gesture! And I must say it was the best resturant salsa I hv eaten! Will definitely go back!
Great place to eat Mexican Food in Elizabethton. Very much appreciated to have a manager, Todd, greet you and ensure that your dining experience is A-Number 1. On many occasions we have been greeted by staff where we could enjoy a good variety of different menu items. I would like to thank Blair for her efforts to ensure that the meal is perfect as she definitely puts the customers first. They are certainly a winning team for service and integrity. When you have a great team like that your customer base will grow. Hope that we can maintain this team for Tijuana's; anything less than this staff would surely be a detriment to a good business. The interaction between serving staff, management, and customers is what makes a good restaurant (of course the food too). The staff can be a reflection of management. Good food is one thing; having good food AND good staff is a winning combination.
Lunch at Tijuanas yesterday was definitely worth the experience! Although the cheese is a bit spicy for my family, the food is delicious and the atmosphere was just pleasant!
We had both a server and a trainee… both friendly and attentive!
I had a 3 year old with me that seems to never meet a stranger, however the manager, Kristie talked to her as if they’ve known each other for years! After which, I noticed Kristie approaching each table of customers if nothing more than to let them know she was available if they needed anything!
