Fatz

Merely passable. Not great, not terrible. The prices are quite hefty, considering what you get. For example, the Calabash Chicken & Shrimp (pictured below) was $14.99. The taste is tolerable, but nothing that was impressive. Also, it is recommended to not order a mixed drink. You will be disappointed. On the flip side, our server was excellent.

One word for Fatz is “yummmyyyy”,between the juicy steak or the blue ridge chicken with poppy bread is “mwahhh, chefs kiss!” Enjoyed eating here, with great food and excellent management. Loved the food and meeting the manager Faud, I love seeing a manager interacting with tables to make sure my experience is memorable! 10/10

Overall a very good dining experience. The service was even better than the food. The manager welcomed us when we walked in like we were friends arriving at his house. That was a nice change from the typical greeting received at most places where its obvious they could care less. Our waiter's name was Devin and we couldn't have been more pleased or impressed with his personality, suggestions and attentiveness. He checked on us often in spite of appearing to have a LOT of tables to serve. As for the food, the calabash chicken and shrimp were tasty and the serving was far larger than expected. The potato soup was both delicious and filling. The tater tots didn't compare in the slightest to the other side, coleslaw which was excellent. A final surprise was when the manager came by our table and asked our opinion of both the food and the service. That he cared about our response was obvious. All in all a very good dining experience.

This was my second FATZ restaurant to try out. This was a much better experience than the first time. Service was killer and the atmosphere is appropriate for a chain restaurant. I did the lunch, special chicken fingers and popcorn shrimp. It was an enormous amount of food for a lunch special and it was absolutely delicious. I don't know how they do those chicken fingers but they have got to be the best ones I've ever eaten before. I hope this is the norm and not some random crazy delicious chicken finger experience I had. I want to go back and experience this again and again.
