My wife and I both had the BBQ chicken platter and we agree that it was exactly what we were looking for. Delicious and neatly served! I would suggest trying the mustard sauce for a little extra punch but is very good without any at all. As for the sides, anyone who doesn't get the baked beans is missing out on a whole level that most beans never reach. Seriously, I can't write any more about it because I'm making myself insanely hungry. This place is worth the stop! I can't wait to try the ribs!!!

If your looking for good home BBQ…this is it. Best BBQ in East Tennessee hands down. I forgot to take a picture when the food came and we wolfed it down. The potato salad is NOT to be missed. With Big Dan himself cooking our food in the kitchen we felt the love and history in every bite! Seriously. SERIOUSLY. This is the place.

Ribs and burnt ends were good. Small portion on the burnt ends. Chicken was alright. Potato salad was good, but not so much their Mac & Cheese and Green Collards. Service was great. Overall, good BBQ place.

We were having a family event and decided to get Dan’s pulled pork to have sandwiches. Everyone who had the BBQ said it was very good. We got the regular and Hot sauces for folks to choose from. While most used the regular those wanting hot wanted more. We plan to repeat this on the 4th but get more so folks can have some as leftovers. If you do order BBQ to go and need more than 5 pounds be sure to give Dan’s call about 5 days before pick up so they have enough for everyone.

My family and I have been going to Big Dan’s for over 5 years, we’ve never had a bad experience. We know Dan personally and he’s really good guy and has a great restaurant and friendly staff. The food is always great. One of my favorite places to eat.

Best bbq in the area and I have tried all of the new bbq restaurants. You also get a lot of food for the money! Their pulled pork is so good you almost don't even need sauce . I honestly don't know how they get any bad reviews, seriously, I have never been unhappy and I've eaten there probably 20 times! It's always hot, always correct and always good!
