Just a small 25-ish seat restaurant and bar not far from the Newark airport. Dont let the outside fool you! We were amazed at the sumptuous dishes that came out of that kitchen. My husband had the Mixed Fish "stew.". Had loads of fishes, mussels, clams, squid, lobster, etc. In a soffrito. Also had the steamed clams in brodo to start. My salmon was a grilled, huge portion perfectly prepared and joined by a squash and carrot medley, all very reasonably priced.
This mom and pop establishment will definitely be a reason to fly out of Newark again.

We were in Portugal last year and it felt like we had returned--and only 45 minutes from Brooklyn! They had a special Easter prix fixe menu and I had suckling pig and my wife had cod, which was enough for 3 or more people (photos attached). Portuguese beer on tap and Portuguese spoken by everyone in the place except us.

Good food. Friendly staff. Reasonable prices. It’s a small dining room so if you have a big party maybe you should call ahead. Some Seating in bar area also available. It’s not much on ambiance- so if looking for a romantic meal out this would not be your spot. But for a consistent good meal - you’re fine.
If your looking for traditional Portuguese food, this is the spot. Hands down the best Portuguese restaurant in the area. Been going here for a while and they never disappoint. Delicious food and professional staff! Writing this review is making me want to go here for lunch today.
Wonderful restaurant, wonderful food and a wonderful staff. If you want an authentic Portugal dining experience or just really good food then look no further! Will definitely be coming back very soon and telling everyone I know about it.
He is also knowledgeable and welcoming. The rest of the staff is very professional and accommodating. It has a dining room area but it is not too big. It has about 15 tables. The bar area is the best though. It has tvs and also has tables. The menu is very diverse. I recommend the Combo with Chicken and ribs. It is so good.
Always love coming here! The food never disappoints and the quaint ambiance adds to an even more enjoyable and personal feel for dining. The excellent service tops it all off for a wonderful meal well spent!!
Amazing food. Great deserts. We ordered shrimps in garlic sauce for appetizers and they were simply mind blowing. The quantities are huge. A must visit if one plans to catch a flight from Newark and has an overnight stay in Elizabeth, New Jersey.
