The chef is wonderful and accommodating. Service is decent. The food is amazing. Great place (oddly enough) for vegetarian food.

Really good Sushi!. We enjoyed this place several times during our stay in El Paso, it was very close to our hotel, and very convenient. The Sushi chef was fantastic, very personable and friendly, he remembered our preferences by our third visit and made sure we got the Sake and water that we always start out with right away without us needing to say anything. The fish was beautiful, well presented, and delicious, and they really went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our meals there.
The bathrooms were really clean, and they have a full size (at home style) changing table in the ladies room for those with babies, which I thought was a nice thing for a restaurant to have.
Sushi is good, service just ok. I have been to this place several times while visiting El Paso for work. I go here because it is walking distance from the hotel. The sushi has always been really good and really fresh. However, the service can be slow and the waitstaff (often the hostess/manager/owner?) can be hit or miss. More often than not they have been quite rude actually. If you are willing to deal with the service, the sushi is a hit...
Best food in El Paso. I've been eating at this restaurant for years and the food is always consistent. The sushi is the best in El Paso! The chefs have more than a decade of experience and that is reflected on the quality of the food they serve. Chef Luis is my favorite, he makes the best fried rice ever. The waitresses are very friendly and always with the smile. By the way, the manager of the restaurant is a very friendly lady that goes around to every table asking if everything is going well. Overall, this a very clean five star restaurant that everybody should assist.
The food was good as was the service, but the $10 - $15 entree was not correct it was more like $15 - $25.
Best Sushi Ever. We have been to sushi places in London, Hawaii, Austin, and elsewhere and this place is the best. No one can beat their fresh sushi and excellent sushi chef.

Showmanship!. I have eaten here once for lunch and once for dinner and I really enjoyed the environment as well as the food. This restaurant has been here for over 20 years; in El Paso that is something to be very proud of since a lot of restaurants do not make it that long in this city.
The show:
I know this is a Japanese restaurant, but ironically, the kitchen is PACKED with Mexicans, Chicano's, or Mexican -Americans; This is, after all, El Paso TX. Another irony is that the Asian chef that we got is not the better showman from my experience; I highly recommend asking for "Javier" (Hah-vee-air), who is Hispanic, to be your Table Chef as his showman skills are amazing. Regardless of who you get, ask for the show to ensure you get the extra show. The show will consist of using the knife fancily and "The Volcano," which is a flaming volcanic shaped onion which after te flames cool off, looks like a smoking volcano.
The Food:
The food, especially if made at the table, is sooo tasty! I went with friends and we shared each others food. I was able to say that the shrimp, the steak, the fish, and all the rices tasted great. The flavors were rich and the food masterfully cooked.
The drinks:
The Samurai, The Geisha, and The Bamboo were all tasty alcoholic drinks. The presentation is very cool as they serve them in fancy ceramic statues.
I highly recommend this as a place to eat in El Paso, TX. It is great fod, a great show, and decently priced for everything you get.
I had steak and scallops it was pretty good but, my steak could of being a lil bit more tender. Other than that the service was good and our cook was friendly and put a good show.

The food was delicious, it took a little long to get our food since they are limited on cooks, but it was not bad. Had a great time.
Can take a LONG time to seat. They told us an hour, but we were lucky and a couple left. The chef was very attentive. I ordered a vegetarian meal and he made sure to cook vegetables before putting any of the meat on the grill. He also adjusted for each guest's preferences, and asked if they wanted bean sprouts, mushrooms, etc. One guest was pretty demanding, but was very patient and did a stellar job in making the guest happy. Kudos to the staff.
Friendly staff who asked us to sit even when it was 9:56 and they should be closed. They offered us to-go or stay, we opt to-go because we didn't just want to sit there being waited on yourselves. Waiting to taste the food. Will update. The sushi chef seems very know his stuff. I
Edit: Sushi was delicious. I had the Popular roll and a California roll, my husband had the Philadelphia roll also the cali roll. Both very good.

I have loved this place for years, and it is always delicious. If you have time, I would always recommend the tables where they cook in front of you. Best fried rice in the city! I would also recommend the plum wine (it reminds me of my time in Japan)

I am so confused on some of the reviews on here. This place is absolutely amazing! I have been coming here for over a year now and this is definitely some high quality sushi and some of the best I have ever had in my life. For those that complained about price, of course it will cost a little more for such high quality sushi. Very impressed by the quality of the fish and the staff is super friendly and amazing. Mr. Lee has been making sushi for over 35 years and I take my co-workers here every time I am in town!
