Food is great, atmosphere good; but beware with your tipping. Always save your receipts and compare to your bank statement. I have had this happen twice to me and my sister in law. I have found that the last TWO visits, and different waiters, they added a $1.00 to the tip we added to tab when we paid. Found this out later when we checked our bank statement. Spoke to manager and he checked his records. Found that waiter did indeed add the $1.00. He was going to talk to the waiter and possibly dismiss him. I don't know what happened but I haven't been back since. Unfortunately there are dishonest people that could hurt their business.
I don't know about ordering from the lunch or evening menu, during weekdays, but my breakfast experience has been great! The Juarez location near Paseo de la Republica has always had great appetizers and drinks during Happy Hour! I guess, I will try them next time and let you know! As for this place, the Sunday Brunch is highly recommended! Between 9:00am & 11:00 am is best! Buffet is kept fresh! Omelette station is awesome! Kids love the fruit, cereal, and desserts! Great for baby showers! I wish they had Mariachi!
El Paso has many do called Mexican restaurants, but few are really authentic, Barrigas is one of those few.

I enjoyed the Black Sea bass with garlic. The salsa and chips were very good. Finally the Borriga chile verde soup made a delicious appetizer.
Excellent Authentic Mexican food! Some dishes are spicy but your waiter can help you choose.
A Wonderful Experience...Every Time!. My husband and I visit Barrigas about once a year when we go to El Paso and we are never disappointed. Our recent visit was exceptional as always. We started off with the queso fundido with chorizo, which was served piping hot with fresh corn tortillas. The smooth, melted cheese went perfect with the strawberry margaritas made with fresh berries! For dinner, we ordered the shrimp and steak tacos. Both were well seasoned, perfectly cooked, and once again, came with unending warm corn totillas. As if we weren't already full, we ordered a piece of tres leches cake to go. It was the perfect end to our evening. With everything that we ordered, we were pleasantly surprised to find that our bill totaled a mere $50.00!
If you are looking for a great Mexican restaurant with delicious food, pleasant surroundings and amazing service, then Barrigas is the place to go!
The have a very good mexican atmosphere and i would like to visit again.

Great food and lively atmosphere. The Arrachera steak is always delicious! The Tortilla Soup is absolute greatness! The service can be a little slow at times.
I have been to Julio’s before and it’s always has been a great experience. This time I came in to try the Chiles en Nogada. It was delicious! It did not disappoint. The plate was delicious with one exception, the crema was a bit watery. Other than that minor detail it was so good! My sister ordered the flautas, which were huge and almost looked like fried burritos instead of flautas. She said they tasted ok, not really flautas. Lastly, I also tried a skinny margarita and it was very sour, not the best. Service was great and manager visited our table a couple of times. Rant over, go during pomegranate season and try their Chiles en Nogada 😍😍😋😋
We had an event today and The waiter who assisted us was Amazing. His name is Alex he was very attentive, courteous and friendly. He should be cloned! 😊. Thank you 🙏 so much for your excellent service.

What a great restaurant. It’s large and airy ….and busy but we had no problem being seated (just the two of us for a late lunch), service was fast and the food is delicioso. Don’t get a margarita (they are really good too, but it’s a big glass😃). Our server was friendly and professional, and from what we could see, the others were also. It was a little loud and I can only imagine the energy level at regular lunch or dinner hours. We will definitely be back on our next trip here.
Had the beef enchiladas with 3 different sauces, great flavor and the beans rice was on point and so was the chips and salsa. Had a mango margarita and it was great too. Service was friendly and quick, the interior was nice looking and clean and the prices were fair. Will come back.
Went on New Year’s Eve and it was surprisingly not as full as we expected. The service was prompt and only checked in when we had clearly finished our meal or needed a refill which was really nice. The house marg was strong and had a good flavor, however, the guac had no flavor at all. As you can see from the photos, the portion sizes are quite good and we’re seasoned great. The cake was ok, but would probably try a different desert next time.
Absolutely incredible experience at Julios! The food was so flavorful and portions were great. The drinks were the perfect strength and delicious. The staff was kind, fast, and attentive, we were in and out within about an hour. We will definitely be back!
The only bad thing I can say about our visit today was as we were waiting in a pretty much empty restaurant, it was about a 10 minute wait with all the waiters looking at us but no one approached. Outside of that, the food was superior and we will keep coming back. Our waiter was on point and all the meals, perfect!!
If you like a family-style restaurant, this place is fun! Basic atmosphere set but plenty of seating. Large menu. A couple veggie options but not many. The Chile rellenos were delicious. The dishes were simple but the flavors and textures were great. The margs were big and delicious, too! The service was great, too.
Really nice restaurant. Great service, delicious food and cocktails. Great place for family, friends, or business gatherings.
