This is a traditional restaurant. Not just a take out or fast food place, not an all-you-can-eat buffet. I had the Kung Pao Beef. The food is good. Rather standard in taste.
Hidden Gem. Went there on the way to the White Sands. Tried Jjampong, spicy seafood noodle. It was much better than Houston's chinese places.
Also had Prawn with spicy tomato sauce(?). Best prawn dish I had in years. The prawn was bigger than most of the restaurants and the sauce was the killer.
I will certainly drop by whenever I go to El Paso.
Great Korean-Chinese restaurant.
Great service polite people and delicious food what more could you want?
We have been looking for a decent Chinese place for a year now and we finally found something but it's even better than expected!!! Amazing orange chicken and dumplings!
My favorite Chinese place in town!

Best Chinese food in EP. Hot and Sour soup is the best and the lo mein is to die for! Lunch is a great value!
Best Chinese so far in El Paso. Kung Pao Chicken was cooked with fresh veggies and was spicy without the normally added sweetness. Egg roll was crispy and fresh. Even the egg drop soup was good. Service and was even good. There was a couple tables with Korean patrons eating there. Yea I'd say the best in El Paso.
This is a great place!! For the price you get alot of food. Egg rolls and steam dumplings are a must!! All the entrees we had were excellent. Will come again!!
My family has been coming here for years and we love it. I went to China in 2010 and this food is definitely authentic. Best Chinese food in the EP!
Food at this place was very good. It has taken a long time for my hubby and I to find a Chinese restaurant that we both like. The wonton soup is simple but delicious. Not a whole lot of spices; just the fresh wontons, a tasty broth, a few mushrooms and some cilantro for an special flavor addition. Egg rolls are the best we've had in El Paso. Not greasy at all and the stuffing is full of flavor and very fresh. We got full with just that and had to take home our dinner orders of General Tsao chicken and Orange chicken. You know it's gotta be good when it's s scrumptious even after you reheat it the next day. The only negative comment I will add is that the service is not great. They take a long time to bring sodas (which were flat) and take the orders, and they forget to bring refills and extras when you ask for them. The food more than compensates for this, however, so we will be returning.
We were pleasantly surprised. Shan Dong is now a favorite when we go to El Paso. The food was very fresh and the atmosphere was very comfortable. The lunch menu is small but has just enough variety to be satisfying. I custom ordered my dish with the sweet and sour sauce on the side and they accommodated well. There were signs up stating that they were short handed but we could not tell. The service was excellent. Fast and friendly, we felt very welcome and as though the guests and service are important to them. Highly recommend.
Awesome restaurant!!! The place is a little old but damn the food was good. It’s actually very clean despite the condition of the building. Vegetarian friendly! The lunch special is where it’s at. You get so much food for a good price. So worth it! The egg rolls are not vegetarian but they are amazing! Really crispy and not lacking filling. Service was quick and server was super nice & friendly. She helped me pick a vegetarian dish. The lunch special comes with your dish, rice, soup, and egg rolls. I ordered the home style tofu and I think my husband ordered the orange chicken.
Tasty food, friendly staff, and decent prices.
I absolutely love this place. It has the best hot and sour soup as well as the best mapo tofu in town. The experience we had tonight was as great as ever. There was 5 of us in our party. Everyone's food was so tasty and hot. The dinner portions were shareable. They made half portions for my children that were just the right size. Our drinks were filled constantly and the restaurant was clean. The wait staff was busy, but they teamed up and all took turns taking care of us. They do charge a 15% gratuity for parties of 5 and an 18% gratuity for parties larger than 8. We didn't mind paying automatic gratuity one bit. The servers deserved well above that. I highly recommend this restaurant. Atmosphere, great service, and quality food make for a great dining experience and this restaurant hits the mark every time.

This is a must visit if you are traveling through it love in El Paso. Best egg drop soup, hands down. Go during lunch hours and get a soup and egg rolls with your meal. Stellar customer service, though it can get busy at times. Everything is great on the menu and they have vegetarian options too.
Great place for families. Very reasonably priced. The lunch specials are a good option.
We had the family share on some Beef Fried rice , Pepper Beef and Szechuan Chicken. Great flavors. Very friendly staff and will give you some great advise on the best plates.
A Must Stop Spot!
Today, lunch at Shan Dong, hot and sour soup, egg drop soup with fried wontons to start, egg rolls, orange chicken with steamed rice and Hunan shrimp with fried rice. I've lived in EP almost my entire life and have passed this restaurant countless times and have always wanted to try it. We loved it and the service is phenomenal, thank you everyone for making our first time memorable!
1st visit since Covid lockdown. 2 groups waiting at 1100 opening. Immed seating; well distanced rables; masked server & hostess; bottled sanitizer on each table. Guests masked upon arrival. New menu EZ to select. V nice selection. My group of 4. All agreed food quality great as ever. W tooth extraction days ago, i was limited to egg drop soup (authentic & tasty) and best fried dumplings in town. Never been to China; but all China towns on E and W coast n between. Spring rolls too. Friends had beef, brocolli plates. Equally pleased. V V attentive, courteous and top of their game. Do NOT overlook SD.
I love their black beans paste noodles! Every single dish was very tasty. I just hope they could re-adjust their food prices.
Ordered to go and the ja ja was perfect
