Great food, the salsa is great. The server is very nice. Very calm atmosphere i love this place good memories 😀👍. Rolled tacos(flautas) are a must try.

I've been eating here since 2002 when I lived in ELP. The menu hasn't changed and that's good. Avocado gorditas are my favorite, and I've never seen them anywhere else. I can't say enough good things about JJs. You order at the counter and they bring the food to you. They also serve beer in bottles, and tostadas and green salsa in little wood bowls. Last time I went (2022) Oscar welcomed me like I was his brother. Gracias, Oscar. This is a special place for me and my family.

Very good food, I ordered the famous pregnant burrito, with chicken and green sauce. It was very good, highly recommend it. My family ordered menudo and it was very tasty.
The horchata was very good.
The only minus was the compliments tortillas chips, were a little stale and needed more salt
Other than that a great dining experience. They do have very good food packages that you can call ahead and order

Me and my mother enjoy coming here to eat Gorditas! They do a excellent job and the service is friendly. It makes me happy they keep it an authentic Mexican restaurant by severing horchata- my only suggestion is to season the rice with cumin & garnish the Gorditas with oregano for a flavorful kick. El flaco challenge! Las Gorditas were raisin plump, action packed with a beef and potato picadillo style filling and topped with fresh greens and shredded cheddar. Their signature featured menu item here. For over 4 generations now, JJ takes it home with great food and service. You can definitely bank that your family will finish their plates with ever breaking the bank!

Solid Mexican food at good to great prices. Not the best in town, but still very good. They have all the classic options. One of the better places on the west side. They do get busy on the weekends so I’d plan accordingly by going early or calling ahead for take out. Nice servers.

JJ's is an El Paso tradicion! Haven't eaten here in about 15 years and it's still great, huge portions and great tasting. Very good prices as well. There tortas are huge!
