Texas Roadhouse

I’ve been a fan of Texas Roadhouse ever since my husband brought me to the Victorville location in California. I knew they had a location on Fort Bliss so it was the top of my list of places to go to when I was in town! My husband and I went on a weekday for dinner so they weren’t too busy. We were seated right away and the waitress was pretty quick to come and get our drink order. I’ll admit, I mostly come here because their bread rolls are AMAZING! They’re so warm and soft. Paired with the cinnamon butter and I’m honestly in Heaven. If I could come here for the bread rolls alone I would! We ordered the rattlesnake bites for appetizer, the description of the flavors sounded delicious! Unfortunately I think we may have come on a bad day because the rattlesnake bites did not taste good. Someone was heavy on the salt when preparing them and we could definitely taste it! My husband got the grilled shrimp and said he enjoyed them so I’ll give them that. The service was great too, our waitress was very friendly and attentive. I think next time I’ll have to try something else on their menu. I’m not giving up on Texas Roadhouse just because of one bad visit! I just will probably stray away from their rattlesnake bites for now until I’m enticed to try them again. I know their pulled pork sandwich was good when I went to the Victorville location. I may try that next time! If you come here for anything… come for the delicious, fresh bread rolls!

Food was fresh and delicious. We ordered salads. I had the chicken critter salad and my partner ordered the chicken Caesar salad. We had rolls enough for the three of us and an onion bloom. Everything was fresh and perfectly seasoned. The service was friendly and we didn’t wait too long to be served. The atmosphere was lively yet we were still able to carry a conversation. The place was clean as well. Kudos to the Fort Bliss Texas Roadhouse team!!

I can't say enough about this part of my journey. My wife and I were concerned about going onto the military base to eat, but found that the U.S. Army had really gone all out with setting up this MALL. The Restaurant was absolutely perfect. Unlike most of our eateries during our travels, this was limited to only soldiers and their families. Although parking was a little less congenial that usual, the walk around the restaurant was well worth the trip. The service was 5 Stars and the Margaritas were probably the best we have had in a year or two. Sadly, you will need to have a military ID to get to the restaurant, but this, certainly, keeps the clientele to a more respectable group. My wife and I were in awe of the experience. Thank you Ft. Bliss. FYI: I was born 1958 at WBAMC (Ft. Bliss) and completed Basic Training at Logan Heights (Ft. Bliss). I wish that the base was this well designed back the. I would have spent a lot more time here... maybe would have signed up for ADA (LOL)

I hate that I have to give this place four stars overall since I can't give it 4.5. The food was good, a bit much on seasonings (a bit too much salt or sugar depending on veggies, salad dressing, etc) but I had chicken and the flavor was very nice. The bread was nice as well. But what I wish I could give five stars for, is the service. Super fast, and super friendly. Bread was left at my table as I was seated, and I had my drink and dinner salad before the bread had time to cool off! I was asked a couple of times if I needed anything, and if I was enjoying my food, which was also nice. I believe they do care about your experience and that makes for an enjoyable meal every time! This is a place to go especially for the servicemen and servicewomen to get a good steak at a reasonable price. It was crowded but you can tell the wait staff was going hard to control everything. I ordered the strawberry lemonade and I just gulped it down, very delicious. The bread and butter is a must everytime. I ordered the steak and ribs with fries and applesauce. The ribs were the highlight. Fall of the bone, tender, well-seasoned, I felt like I could just keep going without feeling guilty. I appreciate the staff's attention and dedication to steak because they will do a temperature check to see that you get your preferred temperature. The staff is quite polite. Here's the downside: my steak was supposed to be medium and it was past well done. They replaced it with no complaint. My second steak came and it was at the right temperature and color, there was just no seasoning. I took one bite and couldn't eat it there. I took it home and had to add a lot just to eat it later. I had a long wait for both steaks that it was just disappointing. I understand that a lot is and will go on and do anticipate a wait. The restaurant will work hard and for the prices and quality, you will get a good meal.
