First time coming to this Cattle Baron!!! This spot is near the highway off Joe Battle. They have a great big parking lot and lots of seating inside. The inside still looks pretty brand new. The inside looks is very rustic and clean. Very friendly staff.
My friend ordered the prime rib, when her order came, it smelled real good my mouth started watering! However I chose to order the salad bar. Cattle Baron has a great one! Everything is fresh and you have lots to choose from. Macaroni to potato salad, to pasta, to mixed green salad! Enormous amount of toppings like mushrooms, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, cheese, beans and a lot more!
Oh when you come here be sure to order their sweet tea because they make it real sweet!!!!!

I travel all over the USA for work. Was in town for work and went to dinner here. Let me tell you that was one of the best steaks i ever had. So glad red lobster was to busy. This was a great place. Our waitress Martha was great. Never an empty glass. Super nice and didn't hoover. The atmosphere was nice and relaxing after a stressful day at work. Music wasn't to loud. And the desserts ( strawberry cheesecake and creame brulee) are the best.

A truly fantastic restaurant. I ate here twice and both times it was great. I ordered the same thing (why mess with a good thing?) the blue cheese wedge salad and the bone in rib eye. The steak was cooked to perfection and I could have probably forced myself to finish it. However, I ended up taking about half of it home and ate it for breakfast the following day.

Good food, a lot of it was great. The filet mignon was very good and super tender. The ribs were good and a bit charred on top but very tender inside. The sweet potatoes fries were awesome, the mashed potatoes were dry. The salad bar is great, tons of options and even teo soups.

We had a really great dinner here with friends - the steak was tasty, tender and cooked to perfection and we were very happy with the quality and range on the salad bar. The service was attentive and friendly and the prices were quite reasonable.

I been living about a mile away from this Cattle Baron for 4 years... First time going there. It was ok. Steak was cooked correctly and juicy. The sides were very bland and seem to lack effort in cooking. I have to say I'm a Cattleman's fan and one of the reasons I haven't gone to Cattle Baron is that I rather make the drive to Fabens for a good steak. I kind of wish I did tonight. For over a $100 it just lacked the atmosphere and the attention to detail. Our server was great, took care of all our needs. Steak was good quality not like Golden Corral, Texas theme in restaurant was also nice.

Try the Green Chile beef stew, it is really delicious and flavorful. The chile has just the right amount of spice, the beef and potatoes are tender and yummy! The broth is seasoned to perfection. It's Served with a fresh tortilla.... Great Customer Service and the bomb salad bar as well!!

Great Salad Bar & Soups! My husband and I love their green chili corn chowder soup. We love it so much that we usually call and ask if they are serving it. One time they had it, so we dropped what we were doing and stopped for dinner. They had run out! Another soup was up there. We quietly mentioned that we were bummed out about the soup. The manager came to our table and told us that their cook was going to make some for us. They served us with dinner size soup bowls, which was amazing! Then they gave us a to-go cup. Amazing customer service! We love this location! The staff is AMAZING! We wrote corporate a letter but wasn't sure if they followed up. Either way, I wanted to leave this review here because they are amazing!

Great experience walking in the door, with positive greeting, no wait time and a smile. The waitress was on point, checking and making sure that my wife and myself were ok. Refilled drink on time most of once again a smile. We both ordered the jumbo shrimp, the food was delivered in about 15 minutes enough time to enjoy the salad bar. Overall our experience was fantastic not too much with tip and most of all we walked away with a smile. That's the name the game now a days walking away with a smile and a great experience.

What a very nice experience. My wife, two sons, and I had just arrived into town after driving from Arkansas earlier today. Even though it was rather late, the hostesses were very pleasant, and the salad bar was fresh. Our server, Tory, misplaced our order, and some of my food didn't arrive until very late. But she felt very badly about it, and most importantly, she owned that it was her mistake. We weren't the least bit upset, because all of the employees there were very polite and accountable. We'll come back soon.

The salad bar here is excellent and has everything you could ever dream of on it. All I had was the salad bar because it looked so amazing and the soups were excellent as well. The service was decent and they were really good at helping out even if not your specific server. Went during lunch and there wasn't a wait, but a but slow to get things going.

A great place to eat. Did was good, service was good for the most part. If it was possible to give it 4 1/2 starts I would. The only hiccups were fairly minor. When we walked in, it took about a full minute before someone showed up to seat us. My mother ordered a coffee, and the waiter forgot, though that was clearly just a slip. My father ordered a steak well done and it was a little under done, but they re-fired it up and was fine after that. He thought it tasted great. The salad bar is amazing. My steak, a ribeye was good, though perhaps just a tad fatty. Overall, I would definitely recommend and would say I had an enjoyable first time experience.
