A classic institution of the great northeast. Well in all honesty, I've tried the most classic dishes here, the menudo, the burgers and the Mexican breakfasts. NEVER have I been disappointed in this place. Everything is delicous, its hearty diner style food. If you want low carb, gluten free, vegan all organic jazz, skip The Clock. This place will give you food that will stick to your ribs and no one is sorry about it. Over all, you won't leave unhappy or hungry.
The food is ok and the waitresses are quirky. It has an old-school vibe. The food is dirt cheap for 2.99 breakfast and if you're hungry, it gets the job done. I don't recommend the steak or American dishes, simply because the ground beef patties are wafer thin and not very flavorful, while their t-bone steaks are cut like skirt steaks. My primary recommendation is to eat the Mexican American influenced plates. They are greasy but do hit the spot. Parking isn't terrible in a blacktop styled lot and their a few strip malls nearby.
Love this place the prices and food are the best. Love breakfast there expecially enchiladas Montana red or green are great. Always have great daily specials.
Holy cow this place is great. I am a fan of family owned diners and this place is own of the best. They have a wide variety of sauces that will knock your socks off. If you go during high volume times expect to wait. This place is popular. It's worth it though, check it out.
Affordable & Delicious. Friendly, attentive service, delicious food, and very affordable prices. I will be coming back again, a must try if you like diners.
We love the clock!. Great service, although we only go on weekday evenings. We stopped by on a weekend once and it was packed (and our regular waitress wasn't working). Food is a good value. We always take out of town guests here at least once.
One of my favorites. Gotta admit, I love The Clock. I go there all the time. I mostly get breakfast, but I have been there for lunch and dinner as well. Breakfast time is definitely the best experience though. I've had a number of their items, and have never been let down. Menudo is fantastic! They are also one of the only places in town that serves SOS for breakfast! Oh and for lunch, if you like hamburgers like I do, you have to try the Fernie Burger.
The waitresses are always pleasant, and the food good. As I said before, I go to the Clock all the time, and will continue to do so, thus I do recommend this place to everyone.
I just had the menudo nice and piping hot nice and hot just like I like it. Nice color and excellent flavor
Great Breakfast. The Waffles are absolutely wonderful. The breakfast was cheap and very delicious. The orange juice was fresh squeezed and the service was fast and friendly. I would definitely recommend this place.
Not bad. This place was ok. I only go for breakfast now since I didnt really care for there lunch. It is very very busy for breakfast so get there early or risk having to sit on some strange mexicans lap!
Good fresh food at a fair price, I would recommend this spot. I really enjoyed how friendly and accommodating the waitresses were during my visit. They also have something on the menu for every budget from breakfast specials to juicy hamburgers. Greeted with a smile, chips and salsa you can't go wrong. Good job New Clock!
Food was good. I did a bacon omelette and pancakes. Came to brunch on a Saturday. Restaurant was busy, which you’d expect…. So our waitress was a little slow and didn’t check in too much on us. Luckily, other servers walked by and checked in on us. The ladies who clean the tables were constantly busy and making sure tables were cleaned off quickly. I do recommend the restaurant but just want sure you’re okay waiting if you come on a Saturday.
Feels like a diner from the 1950's.....it might be close to that age. Older gentleman still working the line, maybe the original owner??
Very charming spot that caters to anyone looking for comfort food anytime of the day.
Service was a little slow...it took 45 min from sit down to food arriving.
Extremely reasonably priced menu. The $3.11 breakfast platter is a fabulous deal!
Some of the best breakfast burritos I've had in El Paso...lots of veggies and flavor.....I recommend adding beans.
This place is packed...and I understand why: great value, great tasting food, with a lot of grandma's house charm.
Great place to eat with a great atmosphere! Food is so authentic from breakfast to dinner!
The New Clock Restaurant in El Paso, Texas, exceeded my expectations. From the moment I stepped in, the warm ambiance and friendly staff made me feel welcome. The menu offered a delightful variety, and the food was not only delicious but also beautifully presented. The portions were generous, ensuring I left satisfied. Whether you're in the mood for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, the New Clock Restaurant is a must-visit culinary gem in El Paso.
This place is amazing. The food is wonderful. The atmosphere is really nice, but it can be slightly crowded at times, which only means the food is awesome, ya know? Their menu is truly unique by listing all of their prices as a 24-hour time, which I find adorable being military affiliated. My first dine in experience, I ordered the french toast, which serves a very large portion. Definitely a lot of bang for your buck, but the taste of the cuisine was surprisingly delicious. The french toast tastes like cinnamon buns, which was a delight. My second dine in experience, I tried scrambled eggs, bacon, and toast. Amazing bacon; thick-cut and cooked to perfection, but I was most impressed with the toast. It has to be toasted on the grill. The taste and crispy crunch are on point. I highly recommend this place for those in the local El Paso area, visiting or living nearby because it is worth it. Yes, we will be back for a third outing soon enough.
I meet a friend here for breakfast on a monthly rotation.
Coffee is good, regular diner coffee.
It's not a huge menu or fabulous food. Regular food like a hundred places between here and wherever.
My eggs have always been right, no matter which cook makes them. If it were my kitchen, the hash browns would be a little more crisped .
Always good to see the regular crowd, although I don't know a one of them.
I don't feel bad about a 3 hour session of coffee and discussion.
Would Recommend to most people.
Saw it very early one morning as we were looking for a Dunkin Donuts. I decided that we absolutely had to try it based on the name & look of it! Food was good and in spite of many posts about bad service, our waitress was really good. I did see the waitress with the hat/ponytail that everyone was complaining about.
It's an older restaurant, but it's clean & friendly feeling. We got there before the crowd, which was a really good thing! Coffee was good and the serving portions were huge! My son had chilaquilles and I had machaca. Both were good enough to order again. I had to take half back to the hotel because it was so much! My son cleaned his plate! The one thing I didn't like was the queso that came with my dish. I asked for it on the side and was glad I did. It was very thin, more like a soup that had some cheese melting in it. It tasted oddly sweet to me, which I found very off putting. It did have lots of chopped chiles in it, which my son loved & scooped out for his plate. I would recommend getting any queso on the side & see what you think before adding it. I would have hated my dish had the "queso" been on it already.
I would definitely come back, next time I drive to El Paso and recommend coming here - just get there before 07:30!
Amazing diner with great food at great prices. The staff is incredibly attentive and professional. The customers it attracts are incredibly friendly and pleasant. I've never seen someone in this place who doesn't return a smile or hold the door for someone. This establishment will give you hope in humanity.
This place was busy but the server was on her A game. We didn't have to wait long to be seated or for our food. We ordered a few things to try and they were not bad. Overall, would come back for a breakfast special and coffee.
