Great local Mexican restaurant. Free cucumbers, radish, and other goodies with food. One note....not sure why my order came with lots of cheese when I ordered the one without.

The food never disappoints. We placed an order that took longer than expected, and the main waiter ( wearing black waiter attire ) attended my order and offered me 3 free lemonade cups while we waited for our order, great service on that action and perhaps the best service I've received locally so far. I don't blame them for taking long on our order as they were at full capacity with customers coming in. But the fact that this waiter gave me the lemonade for us waiting is a plus with that service. It's definitely the best food and service I've had.

Flautas are very fresh. It's unfortunate that the waiter needs to depend on the tip after you have to get your own salsas. Maybe if the waiter reminds us about having to get our own salsas and not just drop off the Tostadas and drink...

This place is really busy. It’s known for their authentic flautas. There is plenty of seating and parking. Not your typical mainstream type of Mexican spot. No combo plates. The salsas are all a bit on the spicy side for me and I typically go with medium salsas here in So Cal.

Such an experience as this cantina. Casual and easy. Open almost till morning every day so that’s amazing. The salsa bar is very good with alot of options. I tried all dishes available in beef and every dish was authentic and well made. Plenty of parking. The night security is an amazing person who greets you in such a nice way at the entrance, i was gonna tip him well but I was not sure if it’s okay in this culture anyway I will tip him next time regardless.

I’m from San Diego where the best Mexican food in the world exists, and even I have to this place was pretty great. Good food, extremely friendly employees and great service. Couldn’t ask for more! We are on tour and stopped in super late after our show in El Paso and they were still open. Great to know next time we’re in town! I had the Al pastor tacos and they were solid, another one of our guys got the quesadilla and said it was the best he’s ever had. Thanks El Cometa!

Diner has mainly tables for four but if you wait a bit, they can pull a couple together. Food and service are amazing. Aguas frescas and can sodas. A little pricey but well worth it.

El Cometa is worth the hype. My favorite are their flautas. You are able to indulge in their full salsa bar to top your flautas. The to-go packing is also great! Try going during the week, the weekends are packed and you will wait. It is worth it though.

The food is really good. Super cheap and the place was really clean when I visited. They only sell meat such as Alambre and pastor. In my case we went there for breakfast and I about 1 hour later a lot of people started to fill in the place so I recommend that if you’re planing to go eat to go early.

We were visiting El Paso, and a friend brought us here for authentic Mexican food. It was great. My wife tried the flautas and loved them. My quesadilla was great. The portions were huge.
