First off, I would like to make a HUGE shout out to our waiter, Julian. He was super tentive, very kind, and never had any issues when we asked for anything. We had a party of 7 with 2 kiddos, and there was not one moment where we had to ask for refills. He had such a great attitude and never forgot anything we requested. Thank you Julian, you are truly what we need more of in the customer service world!! The food also came out very quickly and was super delicious!!! Such a great experience all around.

This restaurant has been in El Paso for as long as I can remember. It's always mentioned when talking about bbq joints to try. I hadn't been in several years and decided to go back to reminisce. Got the 2 meat platter, peppered turkey, and brisket. Came with cole slaw, beans, and tater salad. Everything was pretty good, I'd say the turkey had better flavor than the brisket. The basket of bread they provide while you wait is so good that we inhaled it long before our food got to the table. The iced tea was refreshing. The ambiance and decor are the same as I remember it as a child. Service was a bit slow. It was nice and quiet when we went. Even though it's not the best bbq in El Paso, I'd still come to enjoy the outdoor music. It's great for large parties of people. Give it a try!

We returned to 915 and it had been a while since we had EP BBQ which is different than North Dallas BBQ. The 3 monkies were left with grandma and the parents went to the State Line. The State Line is located on the border of Texas and New Mexico. There is plenty of parking in the front of the building and the dinning area is big. We arrived early in the day and it was empty which allowed this fat guy to order the all you can eat plate with 6 meats. The wife kept it conservative and ordered the BBQ sandwich. Before the meal, warm bread was brought to the table and that started my weight to go up quick. It was good. Our server brought me the sides, beans, slaw, and potatoe salad. Then the animal farm arrived. The beef ribs were on point with the BBQ sauce adding an extra something to it. The turkey was dry and brisket had enough fat to have flavor. OHHH my, did I need a crane to get out? Yet, I felt a pain in my chest, not because of all the animal flesh I ate, or because I got fatter, it was the bill. If we would have brought the boys my credit card would have been declined. The total for 2 was $66 plus tip. Look if you're in El Paso you need to stop there to eat its a must.

My wife and I finally were close by The State Line around lunch time, so we decided to go check it out. I will say this, the best thing to us both is the fresh homemade bread. By far so of the best bread I have ever had. Has far as the meats and sides, they were good but at the same time, it wasn’t what it had been hyped up to be. The sausage had good flavor and more smoke flavor than the other meats. The other meats had a slight smoked flavor to very little smoked flavor. The slaw, potato salad and beans were all just what you would think they are. Nothing special. The State Line does give a military discount which is always appreciated. We said we would go back if we were in the area again but we wouldn’t make a trip out of the day to go back. Go try The State Line for yourself though. We smoke a lot of foods at our house and we might like more smoked flavor than others. Overall, it was a good experience and the food was good, not dried out or over/undercooked.

Yum Yum Yum. Moist BBQ beef brisket with three sides from the lunch menu for $14.99. Just melt-in-your-mouth type stuff.

Our food was amazing. Marbled brisket plate, Loaded baked potato with smoked sausage and brisket queso. Everything was so good. Waitress was friendly. Our only complaint was the chips were extremely stale and they were the concession stand nacho type chips. If they upgraded to a better quality chip and keep them fresh I would have given them a 5 star. Will definitely be back.

Tyler R is what gave this place a 5 star. Food was average for smokehouse. Tyler was quick and polite. He had great service skills. Food came out quickly and was hot. Food had a smoke flavor to it bit tasted like liquid smoke was added to enhance flavor. Beans and potato salad had good flavor. Keep up the good work Tyler.
