Good food from a family owned business. I have been here many times. The portions are large and mostly under $10 at dinner. The lunch special at below $7 is very good and it is an amazing price for what you receive. All my meals have been cooked to order with plenty of meat. If you're in the area and want to support a family business that is good food for a reasonable price, stop in.

I very much enjoyed an excellent dinner and friendly service. Wonderful vegetable egg foo young. The eggplant in yu hsiang sauce is by far the best I ever had. Can't wait to go again.

We really enjoyed the food here. Gracious service, reasonable dinner prices, good-sized ‘authentic Chinese’ servings. Hainan has only been here for a year. Hoping business keeps picking up for them. We want to keep them in East County. Downside: Old building, needs decor help, no liquor license yet. Good place. Has our support.

Loved every single dish! I took my family for dinner and we were really impressed by the flavor of the food and the cleaningness of the restaurant. Plus the restaurant is family owned and they are super friendly. You can tell they care about their costumers. Definetly making the drive from spring valley to Hai Nan again just to try more of their food.

Wonderful food!!! We got Egg Roll appetizer with Kung Po Chicken and they made it old style with just the peanuts and bamboo and it was cooked perfectly..and Crispy Beef and the meat was cooked perfectly! Both beef and chicken were tender and moist with wonderful Flavor!!!
