My fav place for Italian. We love Italian food and we love to go and try new places but we always come back to our favorite place. We really like all their pizzas and pastas.
If you are looking for authentic home made Italian food , brick oven pizzas look no more.

This is a nice casual Italian restaurant to go to. We started with the arancini and pesto bruschetta. The bruschetta was really good! I had the Fettuccine Carticcio, which was supposed to be spicy, but was not. The seafood was cooked well, but the red sauce was a little bland and needed that spice it was missing. My friends had the "white pizza" and loved it. Another friend had one of the specials that had seafood and rigatoni with a pesto/cheese sauce (very mild pesto flavor) and enjoyed it. Then for desert we had the limoncello cake and tiramisu. Overall it was a good dinner, but with only one server and two helpers, service took a long time and was not the best it could have been.

Went here for the first time since moving to the area. The staff are very friendly and atmosphere is cozy. I think my salmon entree was done before the rest of the entrees because it wasn't very hot (or at least the veggies and sauce/risoni/pasta [unsure what to call what the salmon was on top of] were not) when it came out. The salmon was still hot in the middle when I ate it, so that was good.
We also ordered Tuscan Kale salad, Fettuccine Cartoccio, Cioppino, and a Napoletana (White Pizza). All of those came out (from what I could tell) freshly made (they came out hot!) and were all very good.
We also had their gelato (all 3 flavors- chocolate, vanilla, & pistachio). All 3 together are so good. I'm not a huge dessert person but that was simple and delicious. Great way to end dinner.
I wouldn't reduce the stars I'm giving them just because of those warm veggies. They were operating with reduced staff but doing their very best to be attentive to all customers.
I will definitely come here again and enjoy, probably, a pasta dish and more of that gelato.

I came here with some family on 7/15/21 and it was great! I came here a few years ago for breakfast and my family didn’t like it but we came here for dinner and it was much better! We got pizza, salad, fish, and chicken and they were all delicious. We also got pistachio and hazelnut gelato and that was very good and flavorful! I got the salad and it was amazing! Everyone else loved their food. Overall, I will definitely be coming back!

We rarely eat out, and generally prefer to cook our own meals at home. Unfortunately, we had a leak in our water purifier that flooded our kitchen. As a result, the entire room had to be gutted down to the studs. We were left with nothing...no stove, sink, or cabinets. So we had to eat out. This morning, workers were at the house. We had nothing to eat since 9:00am and it was now 7:00 pm. We decided to check out Dolci Cafe Italiano on a very busy Friday night with customers lined up at the door. We told our hostess, beautiful Elizabeth, that we needed to get something to eat fast before we expired! Within 15 minutes we were seated and had our full meal in front of us. A charcuterie platter, Ceasar salad and an exquisite penne pasta dish. The level of service was so amazing. The food was delicious. The owner was so gracious. A truly first class dining experience so close to home in Rancho San Diego. You really have to experience this place for yourself. We'll definitely be returning.

It's a small strip mall Italian style restaurant. Keep that in mind when you go to eat. The spaghetti and meatballs is a penne pasta with American meatballs (Spaghetti is a long, thin, cylindrical shape and meatballs aren’t Italian). The plates the waiter brought to the table were dirty and we got some clean ones off the menu table. The ravioli was a perfect portion 5 or 6 on the plate for lunch, just enough to fill without carrying your stomach for the rest of the day. It was a little over $50 dollars for 2 pasta plates and an appetizer of calamari. The food was on the table so quick like if it was pre made or reboiled heated. The calamari was okay, but, something I wouldn’t order again. I did feel rushed because the waiter was the only one on duty (although it’s a small place and he had bussers) there was no individual attention at all, just what to drink and your order. We had to do the rest, ask for the to go, pack it and go up to the register and get the check to pay. Marlon Brando, really? The painting should be Al Pacino! Meh….On to the next restaurant.

EXCELLENT!!! A San Diego resident friend of ours took us here for brunch. Our temperatures were checked before we were seated in our own little divided off area. Menus were on a QR code. Get the breakfast burrito!! So. Freaking. GOOD. Our friend ordered the Avocado toast and loved it as well. We can't forget the mimosas now can we? HUGE and quite delicious. The next day, as we headed home we couldn't help but stop here again. Unfortunately they don't do breakfast on Mondays, but our lunch choices did NOT disappoint. The lasagna was fantastic and the chicken bacon mac and cheese was devine!!! 😍🤩 I can't wait to come here again. 10/10 happy dances
