Recently dined here for lunch, impressed by the friendly service with a dedicated team approach. Beer and sake available and a full menu of Thai and related appetizers, salads, entrees, and desserts. Convenient location near 50th and France and plenty of nearby free parking. Recommend the ginger stir fry!

Also a frequent customer of sister restaurant Nong’s, but decided to try Coconut since they’re undergoing renovations. We’d tried it a couple years ago and it was spicy and delicious. Agree with others that they’ve either changed chefs or altered their recipes to accommodate the Midwest palate, as our orders last night had zero spice. Also, two of our dishes (Squash red curry, Tom kha soup) came in full-sized 32-oz containers, yet for some reason the third was half the size (16oz)??? We tried calling the restaurant and they didn’t answer. The Pad See Yew was fine, and the mango sticky rice was nice.

We had a fantastic experience at Coconut Thai! Everything was amazing. We had the cream cheese wontons and dumplings as appetizers. We would definitely get the wontons again, but would probably try something else next time (curry puffs, perhaps?!) We are a huge fan of noodles, so I had the pad see ew and my husband had the drunken noodles. Both were fantastic. My husband also had a Thai iced tea, and it was probably the best I’ve ever had. The only sad thing is they were out of the custard sticky rice, which was a bummer. We’ll definitely be back to try it!

I usually do not write reviews, but if you are a Thai lover this is not your spot. We ordered the pad Thai, pad sea yew, fried rice, green curry, wontons and spring rolls. The only thing that was good was the wontons, which are pretty hard to mess up. Everything else was extremely flavorless and had no spice whatsoever. :( I’ve cooked Thai food off recipe and it was 100x better. I’m all about supporting small/local businesses but this was very upsetting and we definitely will not return based off a large order and total lack of flavor. I wish the business the best. But again, if you love authentic Thai or even Thai in general this is not your spot.

Dined here with a group of 8. We all got what we ordered, but I regretted not ordering something with coconut milk in it. I don't know my Thai food well so more pictures would have been nice. The dishes with more sauce/liquid looked really good. Everyone was asked how spicy we wanted our dish. I'm not sure we all got what we asked for there.

They have renovated and the place looks cool. Service is good. I will update about taste shortly. Saturday evening takeout order waiting for 1 hour and it’s not ready yet. Few other people, grub hub orders are waiting as well for some time. The lady said she is backed up tonight with lot of orders. That may be not an excuse. So 3 ratings at the moment

My first time here last weekend such a beautiful restaurant so I decided to order takeout. I ordered the shrimp pad Thai which was wonderful, I also order some calamari as well. Now the reason for my three stars is that the calamari was so hard to chew it was like chewing a rubber band. Absolutely too thick and they should’ve been cut each piece in half usually when you have calamari there is sin kind of like onion rings. Each piece was thick almost like wearing a man’s wedding band. I had to get a knife just to cut each piece in half because I couldn’t chew it. Other than that I don’t think I would order that again unless it’s absolutely cut super thin actually each piece was equivalent to three small rings by the time I got done cutting each one all the crispy batter came off. Maybe next time I’ll try the chicken wing something different.

Thai kindness and hospitality of the staff set the table for excellent entrées to enjoy table conversation. Quality food. (Poor picture.) Warm atmosphere. Very clean. We'll be back.
