The Coffee Barn

Great coffee, and enjoyable atmosphere, soft jazz playing in the background, the food is good! I’m having a lunch special with Kimchi fried rice with a side salad and coffee. Just one block north across from Whole Foods on Dempsey Ave. Can be seen from River Rd across from Chase bank. Street parking or municipal lot nearby across the way. A great find!

Generous and friendly staff, cozy ambiance.and great food. Great Korean selections and great coffee bar. For lunch/brunch, or a quick bite, the chicken teriyaki spicy as promised no complain, this is a place to definitely try something different. Conveniently located right of River Road close to the Edgewater complex, right across Chase bank and tons of parking space. (On street).

Been here a few times and can say the food and service is always consistently good. Great place to catch up with friends or get some studying done (though there is a 1 hour limit for computers sign). I usually get the chicken & waffles, which for about $14, is so worth it. The waffle is perfect and sweet, and then there's the chicken savory part. Topped with avocado and some dressing (think it's ranch) it really is super filling. Definitely recommend this place if you're ever in the area! It's never been crowded while I've been here.

Food was just a little better than average, presentation was nice, taste was good, just not great. Breakfast drinks were really tasty. As far as the actual service, the woman behind the counter was nice, but the young woman who brought us our water was slightly disinterested and indifferent. She certainly didn't display good customer service skills.
