Park Row Cafe

Nice little place on the square of downtown Edgefield. Friendly staff and quick service. Advertises panini sandwiches, but they are not really. Paninis usually use focaccia or ciabatta bread, but they were good grilled sandwiches regardless. Side choices are potato chips, potato salad or macaroni salad. Also ordered a chicken salad which had a nice fresh mix of greens, 4 small slices of apple and a small amount of walnuts served with a sweet vidalia dressing. The chicken salad was fresh and good, however, pretty small scoop considering not much else in the salad. Left there still hungry.

It was very busy but no one acknowledged me for more than 5 minutes. They literally walked pass me a dozen times. It wasn’t until others walked in behind me that they decided to serve me and even then the person behind me order was taken before me. The customer service was very poor and after placing my order I had to wait over 30 minutes for a very dry sandwich. My bread was barely toasted. This place is over priced for what they’re serving. I always like supporting small businesses but sadly this was my first and last visit to this restaurant. Clearly they didn’t value me as a customer and I sure hope it wasn’t because the color of my skin.
