Friendly atmosphere and fast service. I went during lunch time and we got our food and drinks fast. The food was great! My husband said the fish was the best he has had in years. It was perfectly breaded and cooked. My BLT was huge and delicious. The homemade chips were also really good. I loved the variety of drinks and beer they offered. Their food is priced perfectly in my opinion.
Best creole shrimp and grits I've had in a long time! It had the perfect kick of spice and the consistency of the sauce was great. I was nervous at first about the grit cakes because I haven't had the best experience with them in the past, but these were pretty good. I was going to try the steak but maybe next time. I'll definitely be back again.
Great, tasty, window seat, service was good and late meal. The place had what we wanted instead of other minimal restaurant options in the area.
My husband and I had dinner at 309 last night. They were super crowded and busy. The staff remained so upbeat and positive it remained its usual great experience. We usually just go in for cocktails and a couple of appetizers but opted this time for dinners as well. Although I made my disappointment very clear over the fact that they ran out of butterbeans 😖 dinner was great and our cocktails were perfectly balanced not overly strong and came quickly after ordering and with a smile. Our server Keyairra was great as always. I would like to see them offer some sort of bread option. Otherwise everything was terrific.
Stopped in for lunch on a busy Saturday with a large party. Friendly, inviting atmosphere, and we were sat immediately. The menu was encompassing, something for everyone.
Food took a bit, but the refills kept coming and it was worth the wait. Waitstaff handled the busyness in stride. The food in my party looked awesome, huge sandwiches, fresh toasted clubs, Reuben’s- no complaints. However my Caribbean jerk chicken salad left me wanting. I look forward to trying other items on the menu.
Excellent location, service and the food was excellent. The flounder delicious. The service was great. The downtown area was pretty. I had a great experience
309 is my go to lunch spot in Edenton. You can never go wrong with anything you order from here, I recommend trying their daily specials. The staff and service is always amazing, usually never a long wait on food! If you have a big party, call ahead and they can help put a table together.
We got here and we’re sitter quite promptly ordered with 10 minutes, but something happened when the it was placed and someone lost the ticket. It took about an hour and being almost mean to get the food served. So, 3 beers and about 6 iced teas later, food came out.
I was ready to give the bistro a 1 star. Task ring the food compensated for all the misery of the long wait. When you have one of this aha moments when you can’t stop saying. Hmm, mhmmm, mhmmm and finding rich hidden layered flavors in the food.
A++ for food
It’s worth the wait is as much I can say.
The food was good but not great. So close to the water but no local seafood. Three of us had salads with a protein added…arugula isn’t expensive yet the salads were small (we ordered the large ones).
Staff was friendly. Not a home run but not bad.
Menu had a nice variety of items. Spicy crispy chicken wrap(recommended by our server Brittany) and Baja steak sub were DELICIOUS!
Being BAILEYS lovers, we ordered the Baileys cheesecake which was enough for 2 to share, but to us both, didn't come across as "Baileys" tasting. Still was a delicious cheesesteak!
Definitely would recommend 309 AND Brittany!😁
