Mrs Kitty's

As always the food is "just like Mom cooked". There is nothing I have eaten here that was not fabulous. Love they have a drive thru! How wonderful to drive thru and get something besides the normal franchise burgers, etc. Much appreciation for all the marvelous home cooked meals through the years! We have always enjoyed them!

Made a reservation for 6:30 pm on a Friday night with my family. Showed up and our waitress was very nice. However, when we began to order we were told they were out of multiple menu items including anything with chicken or salmon. The place essentially became a burger joint. So my family and I ordered other items on the menu such as burgers and fries. We were disappointed with the limited menu but understood that perhaps the truck with their replenishment of food hadn't arrived when it should have. We then waited about 40 minutes before two out of the ten plates we ordered first arrived. The next two plates arrived 20 minutes later and the two plates after that arrived another 20 minutes after that. We then waited another 40 minutes for the last four plates to arrive at the table. So, to be clear half the table was finished with their meals before the other half was served and it took a total of two hours for all of the food to arrive at the table. Typically I could understand the long wait a little more if the restaurant were busy but there were maybe a total of 15 customers in the restaurant including the 10 people from my family. All of this is before I mention the quality of the food. The fries were greasy and undercooked and half of the food was luke warm. Bread was rock hard and half of the orders weren't right. All in all it was a terrible experience and neither I nor my family will likely be coming back. Again, our waitress specifically was very nice and understood how irritated we were and apologized continually and repeatedly checked on us and tried to assure us that food was on the way. Unfortunately it seems that the cooks and the rest of the staff were the problem. This would be a great little restaurant that my family and I would love to come and eat at because of the food that is supposed to be available according to the menu and because of what appeared to be a great reputation. Unfortunately, that reputation and the food did NOT live up to the expectations and they may have lost customers permanently. I would love to see this change in the future but I don't have high hopes based on the experience tonight.

Went here and waited at the drive menu. No one answered so I drive up to the window. Had to tell to get someone. I told them they were going to lose business like that. Said owner already knows, and people can come to the window if they want something. Kitty's is high price to for 2 fish sandwich think paid $14

Mrs Kitty's moved some time ago, over to East Meadow Rd in Eden near the Rio Grande Mexican Restaurant. We went to Mrs Kitty's today 12/23/18. Got the "buffet". The ham looked so overcooked and dry, we didn't touch it. The baked spaghetti had no real flavor in the sauce. The country fried steak was some kind of ground up meat that didn't seem to be cooked very well. The mashed potatoes tasted like they were dried potatoes from a box, not real potatoes. The gravy was the steak gravy. The turkey, pintos, mac and cheese and cornbread were good. We sat in the section near the "buffet". Looked like tables are wiped off onto the floor. When we went to leave, the waitress was at a table we had to pass by to leave. Instead of looking behind her before she moved, she backed up and slammed right into me, and sent me flying forward, injuring my right knee, leg got twisted, luckily didn't hit the floor. The cost of the "buffet" - $10.99 each, we only took one initial plate no seconds, etc. Food so not worth the money paid. Sure hope when the one opens up in Collinsville, VA, the food is better than this place was. So disappointed.

Food on the buffet looked like it had been there for HOURS. Ordered fried chicken, one piece appeared to had been fried twice (to warm it up?), the other tasted like it was past its 'use by' date. Chicken tenders were overcooked (fried again to reheat?). Mashed potatoes were old (crunchy film on side). Cheeseburger was ordered without ketchup, but you could see where ketchup had been scrapped off the bun. Cornbread and biscuits were cold. This is worst restaurant food we have ever had. It is like they don't even TRY.
