truly a fantastic ice cream joint. We found it randomly as we drove through the area and were totally delighted. The frozen custard is rich and creamy and unlike soft serve OR hard scoop. The service was friendly and helpful. The place was clean and cute....but not too cute. They don't mess around with a menu of gross fried foods-- strictly frozen custard. BUT : **buyer beware** the "small" cone is ENORMOUS. Never in my long ice cream cone eating life has a cone bested me, and i couldn't finish this one. Have fun! Worth the stop.

Since moving here last year, a wonderful discovery has been The Meadows Original Custard. They have a constantly changing menu of daily flavors and offer veteran discount which we appreciate. They have the very best chocolate custard anywhere, and it has become an addiction. Most impressive is their employees; young, courteous and very attentive and helpful employees. Go check them out... soon.

The Rasberry cheesecake special "flavor of the day" was the best custard I've ever had. And that's saying a lot...I'm an ice cream freak! The chocolate almond was also really good. They use salted nuts as opposed to non salted- I was thinking caramel added in to the choc. almond would be amazing. Definitely stop and try it out. They have a calendar with each days special flavors.

Great ice cream, substandard service. Plenty of workers, but the workers ignore the in-store customers for the drive-thru customers. I waited over five minutes for a worker to even acknowledge me as the workers steadily filled drive thru customers. It took over ten minutes to order a single cup of ice cream as I watched cars continually order and have their orders filled. It was really frustrating to see cars pull up and be served, before I was even acknowledged, when I clearly arrived a substantial amount of time before them.

Edit- went back recently to get sundaes and they were great! Ice cream was actually frozen like it should be and was what we used to expect from here.I hear it's under new management, but can't confirm. Ice cream tastes GREAT when it's actually ice cream and not soup. Ordered a banana split, waited forever and the kid working there handed me a container with a banana and a river of melted vanilla ice cream. I say river because it was running out of the container all over the place as it was being handed to me. Maybe spend a little less on the air conditioning and a little more to freeze the ice cream. The brown cows are usually pretty good.
