Great food, service and vibe. We went for brunch and had a full spectrum of food - all of which was delicious. We shared a waffle and the muffin/bread plate - super tasty! We then went for savory with meatloaf, fried green tomatoes and something that had eggs and what was basically a fancy ham sandwich - all incredible!

Stopped by on Friday for lunch...got the special, which was soup and sandwich and the Charleston. Soup was cream of crab and sandwich was a Reubens, both delicious! The Charleston consisted of Turley, smoked Applewood bacon, provolone, avocado with tomato, mayo, and even asked for gluten free bread and got it!! Atmosphere was very relaxing and we even got dessert, which was wickedly over the top excellent! Would definitely return.

Awesome experience tonight at Hunter’s!!! Always one of our gal time favorites! But, tonight we had Kristen, and she knocked it out of the park! We had reservations and at the last minute, my husband wanted me to call to sit outside, a little chilly by the time we went and our awesome server told us to move to the table closest to the fireplace! Great experience, awesome service and exquisite food!

Chef’s Kiss to the Hunter’s Tavern Made quick reservations online and was seated quickly. The service was outstanding and the food could have been in Eastern Shores best magazine with its presentation and flavor combinations. We ordered 5 dishes and each was better than the next. Highly recommended for couples who like fine food, for friends if you like to drink and family if you want to stay in the hotel. Hats off and napkins on at the Hunters Tavern.

Two friends and I thoroughly enjoyed brunch at Hunter’s Tavern this past Sunday! Restaurant is beautiful with an excellent menu. I had a peach Bellini and smoked salmon eggs Benedict which was delicious. I highly recommend and hope I can visit again soon.

Pleasantly surprised by Hunter’s Tavern. (We didn’t have a lot of choice as to which restaurant to go to this weekend, since it was Labor Day and a lot of other places were closed.) Usually when you go to restaurants within hotels, it’s a crapshoot as to whether or not it will be good. The highlight for me was definitely the cream of crab soup. So creamy and light and tasty! The crab and artichoke dip was also lovely and hot and tasty and what you’d expect from a good dip. The fried chicken/watermelon salad wasn’t as pretty as I wished but it was huge and tasty - even though the chicken looked pedestrian, it actually wasn’t. The breading was light and the flavors were well balanced. My husband thought the side of salmon that came with the salad was exceptionally well executed (and it was very well cooked, not overdone, tender and well balance) so I wouldn’t disagree. Sounds like the seafood here does not disappoint! Lastly, my Minty/club soda/watermelon cocktail was disappointing because i was hoping to get more of a fresh watermelon flavor from it (I barely tasted watermelon) BUT it was at the same time a pleasant surprise because the bartender did not skimp on the booze!

What an absolute delight! The drinks were refreshing and expertly crafted, perfectly complementing the exquisite flavors of the food. The service was impeccable - attentive and friendly without being intrusive. And oh, the food! Each dish was a culinary masterpiece, bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. A truly exceptional experience from start to finish! Highly recommend!

This restaurant, part of the tidewater inn, is excellent. Service was very good the food was really good and the menu had a lot of fun choices. They also had a very creative drink menu and a great whiskey selection. Ambiance: 4 Food/drinks: 4 Service: 5 Value: 3 (on the pricey side) If the weather is right, I highly recommend sitting outside.

Look, the food was very good. Schnitzel could be thinner, but trout was great. BUT if you're going to make Jacob act as server, either train him, or get him a personality transplant. Personally, I think it's the former....it's Monday (Locals specials, apparently), but we're not locals. "Bistro Tender", and I ask if that's a steak...."I don't know." This is after he made 2 trips because there's no printed beer list, and we had questions. 2 entrees ordered, they arrive, so I ask if we could get some bread... ? No offer of dessert.... Seriously, total deer in headlights experience.

Hidden gem really! Food was amazing and our waiter Travis was the absolute best. It's been a while since Customer service at an eatery was that great! All smiles when we walked in, great atmosphere and the food was beyond amazing
